I have question, about Graphics Driver,
I had download driver at amd site for my 4820TG:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/wind...ob_win7-64.aspx

I run installer, says that ati/amd gpu not detected, so I restart and change to "Discrete" mode, and run installer again, seem graphics driver installer can install, but I think:

what if in discrete mode, I install latest ati/amd driver, then I change back to "Switchable" it will effect/problem?

Hey I have a problem, when I right click on the desktop, there is no graphic properties or the switchable graphic option.

So I'm stuck with the intel graphic, I'm not able to play my graphics. Anyone can help me?

Usually I OC my gpu if I play high-end games. OC to 770/1000Mhz. So my temp is like 84C while playing and 62C while idling. Is it high? Can you guys recommend me the most stable clock if I want to OC? And also, can anyone teach me how to undervolt? My voltage is now at 1.00V :S Even on stock clock it reach 84C. Anyone help me?

As My previous question. Use latest official ATI/AMD driver on Timeline 4820TG. So I did!

First I go to BIOS, change [Switchable] to [Discreet]
Download and Install Catalyst Version: 12.3
Once Install complete, with no error, restart and change back to [Discreet] to [Switchable]

See:
Attached Image

Intel GPU use previous driver where ATi/AMD GPU use latest driver

About performance, based on Windows Experience Index,
[Switchable] "Graphics: 4.5" "Gaming Graphics: 6.1" (High performance GPU mode)
[Discreet] "Graphics: 6.7" "Gaming Graphics: 6.7"

About Intel driver, I think it use previous driver where I use Acer packaging Catalyst, mean need to install Acer packaging Catalyst version 8.84.7.4, then install latest official ATI/AMD driver in [Discreet] mode as mentions above.

What's your guys max temp of your GPU? Mine is over 90 celcius all the time under heavy load, reaching 100. Does it sound normal? Lol. No overclock, no modded. Just plain stock.

That's pretty high. And I'm having the same problem as you. Although it gets too hot, but the laptop never shutdown by itself right? I wonder why..

Yea, the CPU temperature last time was at 45 when idle, but now around 55.

Maybe our lappy were born fire resistant? haha~

You're going to shorten the hardware lifespan if you let it to run very hot all the time. When it reached 100C, that is not good thing. It's time to change the thermal paste & cleanup any accumulated dust that prevent the hot air from escaping. Always do this at least once a year. Like car, computer also need to be service.

Download & run DPC latency check tool. Monitor the tool. If you see a lot of red bar, that is the source of audio stuttering. Usually other hardware drivers cause this problem. So, you need to do process elimination to find out which one causing the problem. Disconnect any attached devices from your computer, for example external disk, 3G modem, flash drive. Run DPC latency check tool. If still see red bar, you can start by disabling wireless. Then run the DPC latency check tool again. If you still see red bar, disabled network card. Then run the DPC latency check tool again. If you still see red bar, disabled bluetooth. Repeat the process until no red bar like this:-

So far, no red bars. But whenever I play games like TF2 for example. The sound just starts stuttering so bad, pretty annoying.

Look like this is not rare issue with TF2. No proper solution I can find. You can try fresh windows installation. You can try uninstall the audio driver & just use default windows driver.

I don't know whether Acer highpoint provide this kind of service or not. You can do it yourself. You should learn doing it yourself.
