You can search from pp4m forum (a local table tennis forum). Extract from the forum under "places to play" :

For beginner and intermediate, IMO maybe a Stiga Energy Wood or a Palio bat with a Chinese rubber to fit within your budget.

But first you need to feel the bat before purchasing it, as some bat may feel too small on the handle, some may be too big or some too heavy. I would suggest you to go to the shop and get a "feel" of the bat.

Puchong - most of the sports shops or Star Elite Tabletennis Center at Puchong Jaya but the price decent or not, I am not sure as I never buy from them. I have only bought from Ling's place and Presports (Trioxe Sports Trading) at Jaya One in PJ.

Hey all. I haven't played since the LYN friendly, keen to get in some strokes. Actually I need to learn how to hit a loop shot, anyways. I can be at Star Elite tues/wed/thurs if anyone wants a hit, let me know.

No, I am no rubber salesman. Just that those are the rubbers that I used and some of them I buy on behalf for my friends and I thought of taking a picture of them and turn them into my avatar.

Was not feeling well since the last LYN friendly due to coughing. Was out of breath when I went for my jog the next day after the friendly and have seen western 3 Dr.s but the coughing and running nose still persists. Went to see a TCM (traditional chinese medicine) physician last Friday and after 3 days my sinusitis was alleviated but the coughing was occasionally as compared with last lime.
I will try to make it tomorrow (Tuesday) evening for a light workout at SETTC.

Hi, just bought a new paddles from presports, but still got no chance to try it cos now doing night shift..

no la, i think this one is chapalang hinoki long-distant-species...
the blade itself cost just rm80..

unlike those premium hinoki blade which are cut from 200 to 350 years of hinoki wood, can see the wood grain very clearly..

this blade is rated OFF,
and yeah it does has speed..

I still need to learn how to control it.

I've been wanting to go to SETTC since last Nov but didnt have the chance. 1 of the reason is no partner
Currently playing at Putrajaya P8. The only problem there is, most of the times lot of ppl. So from 9pm-12am can only get to play 2 to 3 games with few strokes.

Anyone who goes to SETTC can let me know your Day and Time. I would like to try there also, at least can have partner. My level is lower intermediate.

pingpang - not sure if you made it later the other day, I was @ Star Elite from 6pm-8pm but was the only one there.

Anyone know an English speaking coach I can get 1 to 1 lessons with? SE seem to specialize in young students only. I really need to learn a loop shot, the technique and practice. I feel my game can't go much further without it.

Hi asica..actually SETTC they offer one-to-one coaching/sparring at RM80 per hour with minimum of 2 hours ( National player )

Cheers Jim. I should have mentioned that; its a good deal for such a high level of play. However I think someone at State level or even lower could still help me out. Was hoping for something a little cheaper.

Asica is a defensive player n also a surprise attacker to me... Hahaha,
Jim, the thing u said is theorytically true, but need more ON TABLE experience,
to me, experience n the feeling is important, and one of the most is the timing of ball contact.
Ps: I just know how to speak... Lol

IMO, get a state level secondary school player to teach u 1 to 1. cheaper also.
if minimum 2 hours, i think Rm35 per hour will do.
maybe can search for contacts in some of the table tennis clubs.

How about subang jaya area?
Subang lake, 3k .... anyone?
