QUOTE(deadevil @ Dec 20 2011, 05:55 PM) I suggest 16 ppl , make it 4 group with 4 ppl..round robin system n select 2 highest mark get into next stage draw lot n continue with knockout system or round robin(this might take some times) ? 4 group of round robin, is it enough time? (ROUND ROBIN SYSTEM) Winner : 2 mark Lose : 1 mark If same mark we will calculate by MATCH n POINT. 4 GROUP WITH 4 PPL(ROUND ROBIN)= 24 GAME (DRAW LOT) 8 KNOCKOUT = 7 GAME 24 + 7 = 31 GAME 5 GROUP WITH 3 PPL(ROUND ROBIN) = 15 GAME 5 (ROUND ROBIN) = 15 GAME 15 + 15 = 30 GAME i assume it is really 30 game, i assume each game only 3 set with straight win, means around 93sets, if divide by 3 table, means 31 sets have to run on par, i assume every sets only takes 5min, means around 155mins, which need at least 2.5 hours with non stop. i am afraid it can't be done in 1 day. coz normal tournament with this kind of round robin system at least need 2 days with long hour. |

I wish to make something clear, about the tourney date, 12th FEB 2012 suppose to be Sunday and not Saturday right?
Actually I am still thinking want to join the tourney or not, juz because that day is family day, as a father of a just born child, i couldnt spend too much time there. I am not a professional player, I was training at Chinwoo selangor for the pass century and glad to represent the club and joined quite number of tourney, i also had chance to be an assistant coach for the organization, not to show off or anything, just the member said we try to list out our location n some experience. I stay at cheras leisure mall area, not to say give up the sports, just maybe last time too much effort and time wasted there, I felt I missed a lot of things. |

QUOTE(Steven_aka_G @ Jan 6 2012, 09:28 PM) Wow. Thanks to anson, I didn't even notice the mistake. Hmm, I'd opt for a Saturday honestly as Sunday is also a family day for me. What say you guys? so steven, it will be on 11th of FEB right? If so, i will double check if my work can let me take leave that day and join you guys.edit: Anyone playing today? I'm bored. i suggest you update the tourney details and participant on the front page. |

QUOTE(mingyan @ Jan 17 2012, 06:45 PM) Hi everyone, I assume you have a good sense in sports, haha, but if you are serious in this hobby, I don't recommend those premade one, if normal good blade, I think below rm100 can make it for a starter.Got bitten by the table tennis bug again after playing a few rounds at one of the pubs during happy hour. Can someone point to me how to get started? Im really rusty, can't even top spin back on the table consistently as i have lost my 'feel'. I used to play socially in school and I do play badminton on a regular basis. Can someone direct me how to get started? If there is a club/friends that i can join? Can i start by buying a premade 729 bat to play (around RM40) as i don't have any bat at the moment? I am utterly crap at the moment. Im staying in cheras area.
