this looks like where i'm heading. from jpen to cpen.
looking at yinhe 986. seems like the good option for now.
maybe i'll give it a try first anyway.
IMO jpen seems not suitable for RPB. based on i dont see people with jpen doing RPB except me. haha
currently using dawei blade with rubber on both side. its the squarish type one.
pretty heavy but thanks to the jpen cork i could hold it with confidence.
never used the round shaped before.
anyway thanks for some heads up.
still doing some searching though.

Not easy to learn RPB from a traditional penhold (push and block). Need a lot of practice even after you have gotten it right. Then, another plenty of multi ball drills. This is because I have a seen 2 very good players with awesome RPB skills during their practice. They seems to unable to use RPB in match play.

The only player in Malaysia I have seen so far to use RPB with ease is Chu Kim Huey ex-Melaka state player.

It is because, they are not mentally prepared to use their new found skill. Some coaches need to push them (just like China coaches push Ma Lin in training after his first defeat in the Olympic). Else during club play (or "play-play onli") they may use it with devastating effect. But come tournament, they "chicken-out", not so confidence to use it.

Only for those working in Selangor is OFF.
KL office still working. If we play, also after office hours like after 6.30pm.

Hello there Ethan,
In Melaka, in town, if I am not mistaken the regulars play either at Nanyang office and also MMU. Also the Hainan or Hokien Association also got.
If out of Melaka town, Tampin is another place people plays at the Persatuan Pingpong Tampin.
Else at "penjara dusun dato murad near mydin ayer keroh" Contact zahari 013-6301733 or yusri 0196846772.

Or you can search for tamsin or asica (don't know still in Malaysia or not) in this thread and check with them.

Thanks for the info.

It's just that I thought it's odd for me to just walk in to those places looking to play la. Besides I don't know the time. So, let me try to get in touch with some players first, then follow him/her to go play...

Thanks eh!
