Come join us for some match. We have pro (Deadevil), beginners like me and advance like Choi. We are currently playing in KSL Sports, Puchong Utama. I have no issues to go to Tornado for some good match plays.

Or we can form a team of 7-8 people to play with the folks playing in Taman Desa school. Yes, a lot of old folks there but they are better than me.

If you are able to have some matches with the boys in PJ Union. You are a lot better than a lot of players.

That was 4 years back, I just got lucky that time.....I doubt that it'll be the same result if we were to play again now.

Steven G,

You playing in PJ union tonight? I have laid off the sport for 5-6 years looking to play again. Would you mind if I popped by and introduce myself and play?

I have not held a bat in a long time, my friend. You can pop by there to play but I would not be around.

Its time for me to let the dogs out.

There was an initiative to form a team (I have no idea of the number of players or the formation, yet) to play friendly matches or tournaments. Looking at the numbers, I don't think we have enough. No current/ex-state or national/ex-national players. From the initial discussion, Ng (Deadevil) was kind enough to provide us some kind of assistance.

I would like to have names who are interested to be part of the team or we can form a few teams and have some friendly matches.

I don't mind joining you guys as this team is formed by "liked-minded players".

I can arrange friendly with the following teams - Sunway Lagoon Club or Happy Garden Group, Glad Tiding church Group. Just let me know the time and date.

Cheers

Sure, zamrud.
You are welcome to.

Only thing is I won't be in Klang Valley (KL/PJ/Shah Alam etc) from 13-17 December. I will be on duty at the Malaysian Open (Table Tennis) in Mentakab, Pahang.

Hello kenary,

I bought 4 blades to get the one I like. How to determine "I like"? The one I used with the least number of mistakes and at the same time able to create reasonably powerful spin as I am an attacking player. I'm not rich and hence the European and Japanese blades are out of my reach inclusive the famous DHS from China. Hence, I chose YinHe.

You need to know your style of play i.e. do you like control, speed or power? Choose the softer blade if you like control. Hear the sound of the blade by softly knocking the handles on the floor. The higher pitch, the harder the blade.

Good luck in your search.

Wnat to ask for opinion, after surveying around I am thinking of getting Donic Waldner Legend Carbon - what would be reasonable price rubber to pair with this blade for all rounder games. tq

szewooi2001 had mention earlier to see your type of game before deciding on a blade/bat.
Too fast a bat, harder to control; suited for attacking play
For an all round game, a softer bat like some soft carbon bat may be suitable.

Now pairing with rubbers. In theory hard rubber are fast, soft rubber slower but spinner.
Reason with hard rubber (the sponge is harder) the ball has lesser reaction time to dwell into the rubber before it bounce off the bat. Hence fast rubber.
for a spinnier game plaay, use soft rubbers.

So you decide the combination.

If still don't know, use a safer method, medium rubber.

thanks @szewooi2001 & @pingpang for the info. After reading that I guess I going to look for medium setup. Getting ping pong bat not easy as buying badminton racket (in the process of sports migration hehe)
