QUOTE(Broadica @ Dec 16 2011, 08:47 AM) i think city tour in msia is not that conducive... safety, hot whether and raining is very much a turn off to most Actually they have this service in Bangkok...if they can do it...I think we can ...limited to the downtown area la ...but I do agree its a challenge because logistics not that easy ...parking of the bike etc ...not easyguided off road tour is not easy to promote but still be plausible. i used to volunteer running some programs for youth in FRIM doing camping + cycling. just 1 round up steroid and down... good enough for newbie using those cheap china made bikes. most youth enjoyed the challenge. i think places like FRIM and bukit cahaya are good place to develop for these activities. But I do think tourist would want to go to places that are either unique or closer to nature (city is more or less the same everywhere you go). Ie: Category=Nature Ride 1. FRIM - i think its a must as its the most scenic place that ll tourist will like 2. Kemensah - I think they ll like a ride all the way to the Sofea Jane waterfall 3. Bkt Cahaya 4. Kiara/PCP - for the hardcore MTBer Category=Unique city guide 1. Putrajaya= I ve joined 2 rounds of Putrajaya Interpark...you ll be a amazed at the trails they have which suits a casual rider (not that hard to cycle). You ll see parts of Putrajaya you wont see through driving ie wetlands etc.. 2. KL Look up point night ride- I think its at Bkt Belacan....I know cause JW Cyc ada go there...and the look up point at night is quite nice ... Just my 2 cent...now I wanna chabutss..window shopping since no wan in office heheheh... |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Dec 18 2011, 11:23 PM) Who here use KS adjustable seatpost? Got any problems? Worth the price? I use KS..My only negative thought of it is that it wont raise back to the position that is before. Pros Cheaper than Reverb The switch/lever looks the best compared to Joplin/Reverb (based on my taste leer) Does the job Cons Requires TLC Under muddy condition ...it can jam... as the cable under the saddle can get clogged by mud (you can avoid this by covering it using a spare tube) If you dont prevent it by using the tube....itll cause some problems...its height will move a bit... Overall: I think its good value....especially if you re on a tight budget...if money aint a problem...I think get Reverb (ugly lever) but lighter So far I dont have too much complains ...Im about 100kg ...so far ok jek...but need to know how to maintain |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Dec 19 2011, 01:48 AM) Thanks for the input. I think KS have the nicest colour haha. A new one cost about 400+ Its a hassle to adjust seat position but if i can do it manually i can save money I actually learned from someone here on how to maintain it...tis was the picture they gave...I did it slightly different...I put the tube in front of the cable ...If you did it from the start..maybe its better...dont be like me...I did it only after mud kena ...before that no problem at all...But personally ....its definately worth the money cause it helps a lot when riding...especially for me as I had trouble shifting back because of my 'thunder thighs' This post has been edited by majorsinbad: Dec 19 2011, 05:17 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ Dec 20 2011, 10:14 PM) I'm 20-22kg, hehe. Will try to put talcum powder for my next tubes installation and if it fails again then tubeless option is next. I dont think tubeless is suppose to be stronger...its just lighter..kan?kan?Well, about tubeless... how strong it is? I mean rarely or never have flats? Anyway...try google la ... |
