I dont think its that cheap...6.8K at our local bikeshops Though today I m on half day...but couldnt ride...so I did the next best thing ...wash my bike heheh... Amazing how Silicone helps rejuvenate your paint and gives your fork that smooth feeling... but if you use Sillicone on Kak Shima ...sure lagi best heheh...

QUOTE(Wyldemdd @ Dec 8 2011, 10:13 AM) Hmmmm......should i buy new or should i just get this??? http://www.bicyclebuysell.com/view_item.php?id=142352Hmmm thats a good price for the frame ...or is it too good to be true? or there s a catch to it .... QUOTE(Wyldemdd @ Dec 8 2011, 10:37 AM) Offcourse will be checking the frame 1st before buy.The bike frame is 17.5 and it's for rider height 160cm-171cm which is not suitable for me since i'm 178cm tall.Don't know much about the travel since i'm more on XC bike than trail/am/freeride/DH bike.Need opinion/advise from sifus here. The asr-7 looks great too. You can ask the Sifus here who are knowlagable about Trail/AM bikes ...some say too much travel no point if you dont exploit it ...some say its more fun ...but get one thats fit for purpose la ...u get an AM bike but if you just go to RRI or Rover trail only...rugi la ... By the way ...575 got the Lime color ek? The color actually looks odd but after awhile it grows on you...but with such colors its usually fad...after awhile looses its appeal..

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Dec 8 2011, 11:56 PM) Technically speaking its the real deal. One full rotation of the crank for 26" is slower than a bike on 29". Put it simple 7th gear on a 29er feels like 5th gear on a 26" bike, lighter to pedal but same speed. But i wonder why it is not catching up I think sooner or later it will....Maybe these are some reasons why its a bit slow: 1. Upgrading it is not as straight forward (costly) You cant just change the frame...need to change the wheels...fork 2. People are sceptical about the benefits 3. People think its not meant for short people 4. It looks odd (a lot of us still based our judgements on looks)

So sad today...Kiara trail was dry and excellent ...but I snapped my chain at 2K...lucky there were fellow riders from Klang who helped me with my chain... Lesson learnt ...get a toolkit, learn how to fix your chain ...and learn how to shift gears Technical QuestionCan I buy a ie:Hope Hub...and replace the existing hub on my CrossRide? Meaning I reuse the rims and spoke... and can you buy only one hub or it comes in pairs?

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Dec 12 2011, 08:54 PM) It is... Crossride spoke count is different from conventional wheels... [/spoiler] Huuuuaarrgghhh! Then again better for me la....should look at my cranks/groupset instead ... Btw, people from Klang, one of them using Da Bomb Cherry Bomb (full-sus) kah? One of them used T-Bolt, another used Kona if am not mistaken....I notice they re quite regulars at Kiara Added on December 12, 2011, 9:14 pmQUOTE(majorsinbad @ Dec 12 2011, 09:13 PM) One of them used T-Bolt, another used Kona if am not mistaken....I notice they re quite regulars at Kiara So what rims and spoke are usually compatible with Hope Hubs ? QUOTE(kaizer @ Dec 12 2011, 09:21 PM) Hope hubs are either 32 or 36. But being HOPE, you can theoretically get in touch with them and request to custom drill it to any nos of holes you want. Just get in touch with their customs department. But the question is why?! Crossrides with HOPE hubs?! Am currently using CrossRides ...just wondering if I can economically upgrade em hehehe....

QUOTE(kaizer @ Dec 12 2011, 10:01 PM) Better not lo... If you're keen on HOPE hubs, just get it laced with ZTR Crest/Flow from KSH for RM1.4k a pair. It will be lighter and more durable. ...Interesting ... Technical Question 2Is it true that its not recommended to use SRAM chains with Shimano components?
