Mystery Shopper Trip

Past few days been hopping around and some of my 2cents on the local shops ...

Bikepro
They have the best sales guys around...engaging...they know their stuff...among the better mechanics around...
But a bit on the high side...unless you re recognise as one the cronies heheh... blush.gif ...honestly ...one of my prefered place to go ...

KSH
Same as Bikepro...but limited to a few sales guy...some of them can be a bit slow...servicing so so ...maybe with the new set up...they ll treat the bikes with more TLC
Price also mahal a bit ...

Yong Advance
No frills place...they dont have as much stuff...but workmanship among the best ...price among the best...you got a problem with the bike this guy can help you...

KH Cycles
For a boutique kinda a setting..their price is suprisingly competetive ...XT set is among the cheapest in Damansara area..but the sales guys are a big drawback ...they ll hardly layan you...maybe I look sengkek so they hardly engage you...a pity for such a nice set up...

Ini just my honest observation la..from a consumer pov...others might have differing opinion ...

RMB is OEM from taiwan i think. Better stick with exitway.  laugh.gif

Alternatively you can consider Joplin or Reverb..so far thsoe using it got less complaints...and as mentioned I am on the heavy side ...so maybe the dropper post needs more TLC...

But the fun factor of using it is worth it....also this year Giant and Fox are coming out with their own version...price dunno la ...

Hello guys.
I am a newbie here thinking of starting mountain biking as my new hobby.
I have been to few bike shops and all talking about sizes and names I have not heard before.

Any recommendation what bike I can get?
*
Lol....GO READ 1ST PAGE! hahahah....

I think we should include this in the first page ( I got this from KLMBH) ..I think its a good way to understand the fundementals of bicycle

"In the words of Keith Bontrager: Light, Strong and Cheap. Pick any two. Don't expect it to be light unless you are prepared to spend serious money. "

Why is that for some people, they buy nice all-mountain hardtail with decent components but with road bike tires and ride on the road like a road bike? Anyone?

Probably they wanna race with the roadies and take a piss at them when they beat em hahah....dunno la I think Chamelion's answer is the most accurate hahah
