Pedal slip, change pedal?
Seatpost too high, change or lower it?
Frame too small... Get a medium or large?
TBolt not for DH? But but but... I see alot of people riding TBolt with FF wo? That should meant something rite?
*
Not meant for DH in the first place, I think it was made for XC no?
Sure they'll hold, but i think geometry altogether not so right...

hi bros n sifus,

did any1 here familiar with bike geometry?
I'm not very familiar with frame geometries, so I just attached pictures for reference.
(mine is size M)

Attached Image

I'd just like to ask if I could install a 120mm (or up to 140mm) travel fork on my bike.
would it effect my handling and cause crack to my frame?

i was thinking on getting either REBA RL or RECON GOLD RL.

is it a huge different in performance wise between solo and dual air?

What we see: Pedal slipped, seat post too high, frame too small.
Actually: T-bolt is not for downhill
*
Hows the frame too small effect jumps..just wanna know aje..not that Ill be doing jumps anytime soon....
Does the bike's travel also play part? I mean if the jump is too crazy it ll probably bottom out the suspensions and not fully absorb the impact...leading the dude to slip and pop out of the cockpit...(i think the fellas cock also kena the impact)

By the way..if you look at the video...towards the end ...in true MTB spirit ...his friends were laughing at him hahah tongue.gif

If you care about warranties ...then you ll need to check if your HT frame can take 120mm...if not anything happen to it you ll wont be able to claim...

Having said that...I did that (quite sure its not covered) but it really benefit me going through some of the nasty trail sections

What frame are u using?

im using Commencal frame. my current fork travel is only 100mm.
was thinking dat since need to change fork, might as well get a decent one.
IF i jump ship to FS in near future, atleast i can use back d fork.

so with dat frame geometry, is it possible? hmm.gif

Solo and Dual air. One is with neg air chamber, one is without. Dual will give a more supple small bump compliance.

Hahaha... That's what everybody thinks, until they get to know different wheel axle availability vs stanchion dia vs quality and etc... There's where it get expensip. sweat.gif

Seriously, can or cannot is not for us to say. Unless you found someone that has ridden the exect same frame as yours and did sumbat a 140mm travel fork in it. But then again, that person can only share with you their experience so far, how it rides/climbs/descends and etc.

Only the manufacturer/designer can tell you that. But ofcourse, they will say no due to lawsuit possibility. blush.gif

To be frank, I hate long travel forks. I prefer short travel (100mm or 120mm) with a long A2C. But that's just me.

No exp with either REBA RL or RECON GOLD RL. IMHO, I'd top up to get the Revelation or RS Sektor.

i think 2.5-3.5K can get very nice bikes from giant/specialized/merida/scott. dont forget you need to set aside at least 400 for helmet, tubes, gloves, pump, hydration.

giant- sen aik
scott - bikepro
specialized - concept store
merida- ss2 merida / heehong cycles

worth going to kedai basikal samy at batu caves to take a look as well.
