Trial Description:
Refer to KLMBH.org for the final description of December's ride by 11th Dec.
This ride is mainly through palm oil plantation and a bit of kampong
but some parts are quite exposed so bring your sun block and water.
The long ride is 28km and the short is 15km but do not be deceived:
This ride is suitable for beginners, the very young & the elderly and
those who hate technical riding like Kiara. It is 100% rideable and so
can be ridden very fast and easily. That's the objective of our bash
for year end - to make the easiest bash & we don't intend to kill you
before Christmas.
Do please, absolutely attempt the long ride if:
a) You faint at the sight of blood, because there won't be any
(hopefully… don’t go tooo fast now).
b) You have no cow-sense, don’t know your limits, and have something
to prove on a downhill (because there are no technical downhills).
c) You are endo-prone (because there is nothing to endo from unless
you love jamming on your front brakes for fun).
d) You have not at least ridden more than 1 Bash where you didn’t
cramp or want to throw up. (This won’t be happening unless you had a
rough night before…)
e) You have no upper body strength
f) You don’t like riding Kiara.
g) You’re a roadie who thinks this is going to be easy (because it is).
h) You got a busted hip and waddle like a duck. (you could still bike
with one leg, don't worry)
However, there will be NO room for mistakes in following the trail.
Follow the paper, if not you WILL get very lost and that's the worst
that can happen to you in this bash. There are many trails in the
plantation and you may even end up in Jenjarum apparently (yeah we
don’t know where that is either).
Extraction will be very possible. However, all riders are advised to
bring along their first aid medical kits and make sure brakes are in
top condition just in case if you bike too fast and crash into trees.
Keeping with our theme, we’ve not forgotten Short riders need to have
fun too. Terrain is rolling through kampong roads and palm oil
estates. But if you’ve ever wanted to try a long hash… this should
probably be it.
Don't forget the paper.
