Yea, the previous Myvi Generation the center pillar follows the colour of the body. While this new one, the center pillar is blacked out

i just come back from perodua showroom...now dunno which one to choose..either 1.3 ezi or 1.5 se..since the monthly different is about rm71 only...which one to get?....the car will be used for town driving..and seldomly go back to kampung....the SA said the 1.3 offers more fuel saving but the 1.5 also not that bad..and the SE price will go up since the price kills the current 1.3 elegance..

for me i will choose 1.5 since u say d price diff is quite small and for d appearance, apparently SE looks nicer. bt for interior i think both 1.3 n 1.5 looks nice too, at least nt lik my EZ's, dat orange damn yucks ==

If money no issue, get se 1.5. If you're somehow have other plan to use that kind of money (RM71 is not small for people like me ** stingy, LOL XD **) get 1.3 ezi...

Just my opinion, don't boom me, I scare scare TT... Watever you get, its a good car anyway.. hehehe.. Cheers~

Well definitely quite a hard choice though,

Just a brief explanation about 1.3 Premium and 1.5 SE

1.3 Premium is actually a very basic Myvi which doesn't have much accessories on it and considered good enough. It would be worth for money compared to Elegance which you have to top up RM7000 just for (Leather Seat, Bodykit, Navigation System). I'm sure you could get a cheaper price outside. The 1.3 would surely offer a better fuel consumption especially for city driving. If it's for long journey, the 1.5 would have a better fuel consumption since you don't need such a HIGH RPM to maintain at a speed. Myvi SE 1.5 does offer Semi Bucket Seat, Better looking bumpers compared to the Premium one, Audio Control from the steering, Navigation System, Whole black interior which makes it look more sporty (Base on own individual's view). Of coz, the main difference would be the 1.5 engine which gives you more power. Therefore, you could accelerate faster in compared to the 1.3.

With the 6-7k difference of SE and Premium. It all depends on yourself whether you feel it's worth it or not tongue.gif

The SE price is expected to go up is due to the Government Tax not because of the Elegance. However, All remain as rumours until the day where the government officially announce it. Even the price were to hike up next year, It doesn't mean that you could buy the car at the current price 56k as if you did see the T&C from Perodua website. It stated Prices are subject to change without prior notification. The effective date will prevail at the time of delivery and not when placing or signing booking. Therefore, you might be able to book today but still the price might go up on the next time before you are able to collect it. Don't have to trust or believe rumours too much. As long no official announcement has been made, just don't take it too seriously yet about the price hike for Myvi.

This is just my personal view: If I were you, I would go for the SE version. As I myself won't feel it's really a big difference of price between SE and Premium. But still it all goes back to you whether you feel it's worth it. tongue.gif All the best making your decision Bro.

Owh... My SA also says they didnt have any ready stock for me, but they exchange their stock with other dealer because my SA's dealer have many Alza, n the other dealer in short of ready stock for alza but plenty myvi, so the exchange..., N then i get it really fast... Good initiative on their behalf i guess...

Waaa, that leather cover u was quoted 1.5k...? Thats a good bargain compare with the original price around 2.2k.. But, i tell u, if u go aftermarket leather seat cover can get better quality with the same price... The choice is urs  icon_rolleyes.gif

Not sure if I should tell you this..., but I got the Extreme for RM2000 cheaper than their current price (which is already cheaper than MSRP).

That alone covers the leather seat covers and then about 6 months of petrol.

Of course, don't go knocking on the dealer's doors saying someone else got RM2000 off so now you also want RM2000 off. tongue.gif

---------------

I have a question:

The first thing I want to do to my Myvi is to get steel shifter bushings. This was the first thing I did to my wife's Scion xA in the USA, and it made a HUGE difference. As I understand it, the Myvi's shift feeling is very rubbery and vague. I'm guessing it's the rubber bushings they put in there.

Where can I get such a kit? I just came back 2 months ago, and have no idea who are the major manufacturers of aftermarket parts for the Myvi.

Thanks.

Scions have manuals. I am a kaki manual, and all the cars I've ever owned are manuals. From my first car (Mazda RX-8) to my last (Honda S2000), they were all manuals.

When I first met my wife, she got very interested in my obsession with manuals (maybe because I would not shut up about the shittiness of automatics), so she changed her car to a Scion xA manual (from an Oldsmobile Alero V6). Hence how she ended up with a manual.

But you're right, most Americans spit on the manual. I think the statistic was that only 1.8% of all cars in America were manuals?
