As i mentioned above, iOS 5.1 does improve battery life.

update to 5.1 in less than 20minutes OTA. dono about battery life, but the camera shortcut sure comes in handy.
luckily i udated my gf i4 to 5.01 last week, now updating to 5.1 is much much easier |

for those of you using Assistive Touch, now you can use the home button for Siri... Just hold for 2 second...

I know it improves battery life in idle mode for me, as for battery during usage might only have abit of difference.

Hey guys, apple server will be jammed up by all the iphone users globally rushing to update to ios5.1.. it will take longer time than usual and it may take hours to download too..
It will be easier and faster to download the firmware then restore becoz it won't need to go through apple server jamming with others.. but sometimes when u download the firmware also stuck halfway... becoz of too much traffic. Google for it and try downloading from several sites... test the traffic out then decide which one to go for... save time.. |

nope. this time the update was smooth for me and my friends. no jammed. So far my 3GS was ok. Battery life same on 3GS. nothing much for this old 3 yrs phone
