Hi, anyone had use Philips Air Purifier 800 series AC0820/30, appreciate your views.

I'd like to know if it's effective to purify an area of 49m2 as it boasts. And would like to know whether the recommend filter change of every 12 months is practical as the usage may differ from one person to another...

i change every 6months , open daily 8-10hours. use in bed room 300sf....

intended to change to Levolt as i can set timer ....

I intend to put in a smoking room 200-250sf. Switch on 24 hours, auto mode. You changed every 6 months as the indicator prompts you for change or is it just a regular change you practice?

200-250sf 24hours smoking room ? this air purifier not suitable as there is no carbon filter for smoke. and if u insist to use it , u need to change filter within 2-3months time ...

regular practise , but it is really dirty already

I have a Amway Atmosphere to let go. Bought it for RM4800 last time. Used until got notification to change the filter then kept it in store. The unit is still in good condition without any physical damages or scratches. Complete with the remote (still wrapped). Anyone keen?

I’m using too. But I won’t need another unit anytime soon. Lung disease related patient or nose allergy children or pet owner are very likely to buy a second hand. But if you can sell it for 1k++ is considering very good because replacement filter cost almost 1k as well. Filter life span can use up to 3-5 years assuming daily use for 6-8 hrs at fan speed 2.

Hi brother, my 3H is due for replacement... got 3 types, green purple and grey online... I use it for cat fur.. turn on daily 8 hours... cannot work anymore due to NFC expired... What price point is considered good deal ya bro?

I think the price are just minor different, just get the Grey will do. around RM100 iinm.

Inflation. All parts raise price no matter which Manufacturer/OEM. If your Air Purifier or Filter doesn't raise price after Pandemic, it mean the product itself is so cheap to produce or not serving its purpose or even old old old stock anyway.

Considering the area you want to cover is 380 square feet.

Levoit 300s fits your need from the specs. Things you may want to consider though is:

1. Levoit air quality measurement is using PM2.5 whereas better air purifiers measure up to PM1.0,if you are sensitive and have allergies, better to invest in an air purifier that has Air Quality sensor capable of PM1.0

2. The recommended air purifier CADR sizing is 2/3rd of your room size in square feet, using this formula the air purifier CADR you need is in the range of 250 to 260. The Levoit you are looking at will still clean the air but won't be effective as its undersized. 300s has CADR of 240m3/hr which is slightly below the threshold


Best is not to undersize the machine or consider getting two smaller purifier to cover an entire area.

There are some types which offer 360 purification and can circulate clean air throughout the room, LG and one more is Acer. LG has long throw of 6.5m of purified air, functioning almost like an air circulator and can filter up to PM1.0; certified by American Asthma and allergy foundation as well.

You can consider LG for long term, as no initial cost outlay, installation done by LG Puricare Malaysia team and filters are send to your doorstep, so no need for technician visits etc.

Also LG has smart controls like levoit, I actually like this feature since my Xiaomi air purifier, as I can programme the on/off time for my air purifier and also programme it to run at max speed when the Air Quality is at certain level (sometimes my nose is more sensitive on the smell vs the air purifier).

Personally find the PM1.0 vs PM2. 5 measurement makes a very big difference, and its definitely worth to invest in a better air purifier.

I have one Amway Atmosphere (Gen 1) need repair.. can anyone recommend me a place? Preferably northern region.

The purifier can't work constantly, it works but only for 30s-1min then stop for another 1-2 mins... Very strange.. just imagine it's auto mode which can't be turned off.

Please help!! 🙏
