No timer to cut it off?
*
it use about 27w for medium setting , which is about 0.027*8hours*31days= 6.69Kw per month.... RM0.20 * 6.69= RM1.20+

a timer cost about RM20 from Giant .. no need buy timer d lo.... but not sure if the filter cannot last longer due to long hour usage.... RM129 for the filter , from lelong ....

27w is more than 1 CFL light bulb running cost.

Beside that, when your room is already fill up with clean air, continue run doesn't have any advantage. Ain't it better this 27w extra be run on a light bulb ?  thumbup.gif

The filter lifespan is definitely shorten which is also the most expensive part.

If you decide to get a timer, 1yrs you already pay back your timer. RM12 from your running cost saving and the rest is from your saving in prolong the life of the filter.  smile.gif

bro, since your living hall so big you can also consider FU-A80E
let's say two unit of FU-A28E-W cost you about RM650, FU-A80E cost rm 700-800 you can consider taking this which is just 100 more extra.
reason because FU-A80E has more applicable floor size than the FU-A28E-W.
Plasmacluster Air purifiers
FU-A80E
Coverage Area (Sq ft)
:  680

Plasmacluster Air purifiers
FU-A28E
Coverage area 19m
*
Ohh...thats pretty cheap... I tot its > 1300....the filter lifespan 10yrs right ....assume it can last 5yrs, its more than enuf d...

A28E need to change about yearly ...costly too

Anyone put daiso carbon filter in front of sharp filter?

FU-A80E so cheap ? check around garage sale, RM1100-1300+....

no la, I make an assumption only.  tongue.gif
depends how heavy u use it anyway, if you are hardworking type and you can always clean/vacuum the filter every 2 weeks.then it should last longer and most probably you only need to replace it every 2 years
*
LOL...no wonder so cheap...

Y dun u get a better quality and higher efficiency and with bigger coverage area and higher CADR rate air treatment system. So u can put in living hall when u wan to sleep juz put into ur sleeping room and turn it on to clean d air.

If u buying a cheaper 1 usually d d performance ll be lower n coverage area is small. Juz like a example ll u be buying 2 nokia hp instead of getting 1 iphone which really can perform?
Guideline for choosing air treatment system:
1. How many micron of particle can be filter
2. How many types of containminates can filter, any prove?
3. Wat is d CADR rate? Area coverage
4. How to filter d gas, smell?
5. How to detect d air quality?
6. Maintenance cost?
7. Noisy?
8. How much electricity bill charge?
*
ya... better air purifier got other functions ...btw, all sharp air purifier got ionizer .... and i dont think our country weather need humidifier right .... our humidity level is very high alredi ....

btw , do u think by adding another 1more layer filter on the air purifier burden the machine ? LOL.... i m buying the 3M air con filter to do the job.....

Sorry to be giving some my opinion. Hope you dun mind. I actually thinking to place a layer more filter is quite extra work and double work. Unless the 3M filter that put can filter smaller particle than the air treatment system.

Better air purifier doesnt not really have other extra function. I m using Amway atmosphere. It does not add on extra function.

Juz based on d the answer:
Filter 0.09micron particles
CADR rate is 7.1m3/min. Does check carefully when u buy other brand. Many ppl confuse n miss read for unit sq ft / mins or hr.
Filter 80types of containminates include influenza A, SARS.
It doesnt not consist humidter as i think this is smth extra. When u purchase air treatment system. Key point is filter haze, containminates, virus n provide clean air for u.
No need a big maintenance once a while 2-3years
It have sensor detect air quality. It wont noisy very silent so wont disturb my sleeping time.
D HEPA filter is 8.5meter long. Surface area of carbon filter is equal to 300++  football field
*
8.5meter long ? seriously so long ? and carbon filter is 300+ football field? how do u get the calculation ? laugh.gif

Hi, anyone had use Philips Air Purifier 800 series AC0820/30, appreciate your views.

I'd like to know if it's effective to purify an area of 49m2 as it boasts. And would like to know whether the recommend filter change of every 12 months is practical as the usage may differ from one person to another...
*
where u intend to put ? how long u plan to open ?

i change every 6months , open daily 8-10hours. use in bed room 300sf....

intended to change to Levolt as i can set timer ....

I intend to put in a smoking room 200-250sf. Switch on 24 hours, auto mode. You changed every 6 months as the indicator prompts you for change or is it just a regular change you practice?
*
200-250sf 24hours smoking room ? this air purifier not suitable as there is no carbon filter for smoke. and if u insist to use it , u need to change filter within 2-3months time ...

regular practise , but it is really dirty already
