I thought can rent for 2 months during haze time.
Will they change the filter for you like every 6 months? Rm 2400 why not just buy the AP.

Usually 1 AP is enough for a room, unless your room is very big. I think Medklinn is just ionizer, it does not filter dust/haze, it just make dust/haze stick to solid surface instead of floating in the air, hence "cleaning" the air.

See you that kiasu with 2 AP, already know it is worst than worst.

Anyway I have bought sharp FPF30LH (20m2) for the bedroom and FUA80EW (62m2) for the living room.

For each room only

I've experienced two kinds of sharp plasmacluster.

One a 5-year old high-end model purifier that can detect air quality the instant I enter house after smoking, and another current model FUA28E ionizer. The former worked wonders in 30 mins and outputted really clean air despite its age; far beyond my expectation. But the latter was capable enough to remove haze smell, in my living room! Albeit it takes about a day to accomplish.

I regretted after selling the purifier.

Just my short review after 1st for few hours only.
This sharp KCA-40EB comes with Humidify function can help up room clean air with added cooling on room temperature as well, the airflow without noise at all, when 1st run got slighly charcoal smell, after an hour no more smell already, for a whole room feels much fresh now.

That is worth it.


At the back after pre-filter I had applied Daiso gas filter, can reduce the dust get into hepa, hope it helpful to created longer life.

You should tried prevent using custom pre-filter.
this will just slow down the purifier to clean ur air seriously.
the HEPA filter itself when u stretch the whole HEPA filter itself the length is always longer maybe 1 meter or somethg else.

but this pre-filter will shorten ur coverage to less than 30cm.


I am using xiao mi purifier, i test with and without pre-filter before.
without pre-filter can clean faster because pre-filter will shorten the coverage less than 50cm but without pre-filter can stretch up to 1.2 meter, so i believe theoretically it works the same for all purifier.

Conclusion,
Use pre-filter during normal day, pro-long the lifespan of hepa filter.
Take off the pre-filter during hazy day, so it can clean faster.

Depending on your budget. Pre filter is to drag on other filters (Service period) hence save cost.

If you have budget to burn, just remove the pre filter. For me, I need the pre filter cause no money to burn

The Hepa filter have a 10yrs lifespan. How long do you need to extend somemore?

Just do monthly vacuum cleanup the filter will do.
