Either you good at DIY, or my experience, throw away the unit.

Buy the reputation brand AP. Those specialist in AP or been manufacturing for thousand yrs. They know best.

Why don't get a better one with better parts support & service? It might be pricey but at long run you no need to headache to switching & throw away.

You mean honeywell or traine ?

I can't afford it.

Middle range is good enough. And I m not crazy about air as clean as clean room.

I still need to survive outdoor.

Nothing wrong with sharp AP. My usage history prove it reliable. That is good enough.

Humidifier is to increase the water vapor content in the air.

Dehumidifier is to reduce the water vapor content in the air

A humidifier is a device that increases humidity (moisture) in a single room or an entire building, provide humidity to the entire house. Medical ventilators often include humidifiers for increased patient comfort. Overuse of a humidifier can raise the relative humidity to excessive levels, promoting the growth of dust mites and mold, and can also cause hypersensitivity pneumonitis (humidifier lung).

A dehumidifier is generally a household appliance which reduces the level of humidity in the air , usually for health or comfort reasons, or to eliminate musty odor.

Based on what condition you need, if always in an air cond room and feel uncomfortable due to too dry of the environment , then humidifier is the choice. If your house or room is humidity or full of dust that we hard too see by using our eye , sometimes got pets' fur, or odor , you can use dehumidifier or air purifier to reduce the contaminants in the air and feel comfortable with fresh air .

Thanks for clarification. thumbsup.gif my house no aircond even in room also no aircond. Only the fan, from what i can see dehumidifier have a storage behind it, is it water will fill automatically when use it? so, the water in that thing is contamination?

Dehumidifier is to reduce the humidity in your environment like you feel your room or house very humid (潮湿) , means water vapour is high in the air thn u need the dehumidifier. Dehumidifier does not have storage behind i think, that is humidifier as it need to humidity the room so may have a small water storage behind or inside. The water in that thing is not contaminants.

Contaminants (污染源)is means that those dust or dirty things that we are unable to see by using our eyes . It may contain in our air or environment. Like pets' fur, dust, cigerette smoke, dust of haze an so on that some ppl will feel uncomfortable on it and may be will cause health problem. So that, air purifier (空气净化器)is another use to absorb those contaminants and reduce the dust or those thing in the air, to let us have more fresh air. smile.gif

I am comparing between Sharp FPF40L(RM550) and FPE50E(RM700).
Is it worth to pay RM150 more to get FPE50E? I found the only advantage of FPE50E over FPF40L is the filter lifetime up to 5 years.

RM3000. Including one year service. Rm550/year for subsequent services.

Or rm95/month for 60 months. Included bi monthly service.

Feels a bit steep man.

Can self wash. But to change filter need to pay 550 for each year lor.

Thats why I'm contemplating. 5 years will cost 5000+.

The only one pros is cam cover 1600sft I think.

Still, it's fkin expensive. Another family member la, keep wanna get this.
