It depends. My brother has dry skin issue so we bought a humidifier put in his room and it helps improve the condition.
*
If your brother have skin issue better seek for specialist help. How about if he was outside without the humidifier?

Outside no problem. Humidifier is used in aircond room because it is dry.

Sharp is a reputable air purifier manufacturer which also got AllergyUK certification for removing pollen & mites.
Make sure you are not using aerosol, cigarettes, incense or other things that form spark when operating the air purifier. Also don't place near to electronics like TV or radio as may cause interference.

Owh, I though plasmacluster also can elimimate bacteria n viruses as well.

If cannot smoking then no use of air purifier. Nway, from sharp testing filter durability, they use cigarrete smoke. u can refer the attachment.

It was in the operation manuals, you can read it. They suggest not to operate near flammable gas utilities. It may cause fire? Not sure.

Inside still mention that, some odor ingredients absorbed by the filters may become separated and may be discharged through the air outlet and result in additional odor. Depending on the usage environment, especially when the product is used in a condition significantly more severe than household use, this odor may become strong in a shorter period than expected.

The air purifier is designed to remove air-suspended dust and odor, but not harmful gases (for example, carbon monoxide contained in cigarette smoke).

If the odor sources still exist, it cannot completely remove the odor (for example, odors from construction materials and pet odors ). It is suggested to open the window a bit when you are smoking in order to facilitate ventilation. In this case we recommend purchasing the optional replacement filter.

Then what is the purpose still purchase this air purifier ah? unsure.gif

You have to understand what is gas and dust.

If the amount of odor is high, it will take time to remove. Also base on your room size.

So to remove fast, open the window.

I have been using sharp AP for over 10yrs. Office and home.

Those farker jap smoke inside, I blast the AP high. But of course if more people smoke, it take longer time. Comment sense.

I even shit at home, blast the AP into the toilet. But can't match the Medkleen.

Why home no need change the filter? It may lose it efficacy since the filter will dirty for so long time.

See the review and the date at the label la.

Only run 3yrs. Don't need to change the filter. Just vacuum and wash the outside net filter.

The filter have the lifespan of 10yrs. The unit have indicator the filter dirty/change.

I m not the crazy type which ON the AP 24hr. I use it sometime when sleep and put timer for 2hr.

Or longer when haze season.
