If RM3000 for first purchase, then RM550 each year, for long term it quite a big amount. rclxub.gif

Hi,

There's this Sharp entry level range (RM500+ or RM300+ on Lazada) air purifier.

Was told by salesman that its only good for a small/medium sized room.

If I still use it for living room, relatively big but apartment Size (300+ sqft), will it defeats its purpose? Like couldn't cover that big of space?

I've never used air purifier before so I'd like to try but with affordable one, and I have a baby now and about 500m away there's a huge house development ongoing for at least a year more, I thought I might need to invest abit on this should the air quality contaminated by construction dust. (although I live on 5th floor, dono will affect or not)

any air purifier will definitely help. as itself with the most basic of basic will act like a dust filter. like a slow vacuum cleaner.
construction dust are dangerous. they also have chemical dust. 5th floor will be affected when its carried by the wind. also, you walk through the ground floor everyday, in/out, you will carry external contaminants.

i agree with you, try a affordable one first.

one of the best way till construction complete is, get air purifier, buy NASA top recommend three plants for internal air circulation, and don't open windows except on rainy or windy days from other direction. the hardest to die and most easy to maintain is "money plant", soil based or water based also can.

You can try sharp fpf40lw, lazada selling around rm500. If you check sharp website, this air purifier can cover area 30m square for low-dens, which is around 300sqf.

Myself using fpe50e which can cover larger area to 39m square.

Wow thanks all for the replies.

Ah I guess you're right. I just visited my house, non furnished yet (just got the key last month). I can see dust stain on the floor. I purposely left 2 windows opened for a week. Can see brownish stain. I'm sure that's from the construction site. All tanah merah with lots of bricks construction.

It's important to prepare for this as I have quite bad sinusitis and baby very prone to dust.

I guess I'll purchase the Sharp entry level and see for myself first.

Thanks all.

Question:

If I already have an aircon with PlasmaCluster tech, will having air purifier be at least a bit redundant? Like having Sharp AirCon + Sharp Air Purifier at the same living room.

suggest to keep the windows closed till the construction completed, else i bet your purifier filter life span would be shorter, plus u may need to clean the filter quite often..

Air purifier contains HEPA filter to capture the harmful particle and dust in the air.

What is your budget? unsure.gif

Can go to this website at "filter product" there to filter which allergens you want to filter and also the budget you want.
