Thank you for your info! just asked Mackiddo about this, he said need to get letter from JPJ some more.. So troublesome  doh.gif

it's not that bad considering you need not take any practical test. Only the Basic Theory Test (BTT). Booking for date of the test a bit tricky, the nearest date could be 2 months away.

i fully support the gov on this. This really successfully achieve the mission to get $$ from the rich to subsidize the poor.
If you are rich enough to pay $20 daily for the car VEP, the RM6.20 means nothing to you. the $20 it self its already RM49.
If you say u are poor, u can opt to ride a motorcycle or take a bus.
*
I also fully support this and I hope Sg side will stand by their words which is, "we will follow the rates of what our counterparts in Msia is charging".
Maybe time to increase VEP also. haha. Such a long time never revise already tongue.gif

BTW, quite a number of those who stay in JB drive Sg car, so all along there is no S$20.

JB town will be dead sooner than you think once they imposed this.

Well, I think there will be more folks seeking to rent room/HDB in SG.  So it would be great for those who are renting out their rooms.  Maybe the good thing is that it will reduce the traffic going through the causeway.
*
also see the seafood restaurant there dare to lcly and anyhow charge or not since there will be massive drop in customers from Sg.

friend just committed a HDB before his wedding this year. If the market price really drop by 30%, the difference is enough for him to buy a >RM300k link house fully paid off with cash.
*
do you think it would drop, ever? A country with limited land space.

Thanks for the Skype idea. Just check on the rate and it's very cheap even for land+mobile subscription.

No need to subscribe lar. Just buy the credit. I normally top up US$10, finished then top up again. Better if you using iPhone, very convenience using Skype on IOS.

purchase house in JB got no prob... but in KL a bit difficult, need guarantor. if u plan to stay in SG, then u need to share room.

rental $350
phone $20
food $300 ($10 per day)
transport $100 (u will have extra)
groceries $100 (toilet paper, shampoo etc etc)

total only $870, u still have around $500+ extra.

so its still a lot u can do with $500. btw, that is just ur starting pay, ur salary will climb quite fast if ur pay is low.
*
can consider staying in cowboy town JB tongue.gif

icic, so need insurance to cover our expenses in case anything happen.
*
good that you asked this. You have to check what your company covers and how much, most important for hospitalization. Then you can find an insurance policy to covers the short fall if it's not enough.
