how much is the driving license now for car? how many years we can renew for? early renewal no problems?

I am Malaysian holding Spore license. Would I encounter problem if tahan by traffic police when driving Msia registered car?
I am more to NOT converting my Spore license to Msia mainly bcos Spore license is life time if no offence = no renewal fee incurred. And I can drive Spore registered car at Spore.

hey guys, my sister baru habis her P in february...
the thing is, she's in aussie since end of january 2007 and getting back only in december 2007
her purse got ransacked luckily that was her malaysian purse..
only few stuffs lost...one of them is her P license
tapi her P already ended...
now, i dunno what to do till now...she kept asking me how can she get her D license (the normal license after P)
any ideas?

RM150 if im not mistaken - u also will get [colour=green]GREEN[/colour] notice (PG1) while u recieved the summon (JPJ(p)22) from JPJ. The green one us for inspction. u need to change ur plate and go inspection at nearest JPJ .. then after the Vehicle Exeminer satisfied, u will recieved the yellow paper- this yellow one are needed when u wanna pay the summone

do u have her latest passport size picture? do u remember her IC number? then if u have both thing, juz bring the picture and remember the ic no to the nearest JPJ to renew the FULL licence. Juz telling the counter stuff ur sister at oversea and will come back end of year.

okie this is the procedure..
1. Bring the car to nearest PUSPAKOM and ask them to make "owner change" inspection. then u need to pay RM(??) and u will get VR1 certeficate from PUSPAKOM. - dont forget to bring RC
2. You and the previous owner need to come to JPJ - bring along ur IC, RC, VR1 Certificate and RM100
3. You and previous owner's Identification Card will be comfirmed by JPJ Officer at Kaunter pengesahan tandatangan. And both of u need to jod down ur signiture in front off the officer.
4. After all procedure, go to next counter for apply changing name.
5. U will asking to come and collect the RC ( Registeration Cert ) in 3 workin days

Only applicable for the engine from the same model. For example, if you have a Mini, you are only allowed to swap with a similar Mini engine.

second inspect ur car at puspakom..
