HI all,

I just bought Alpha 18i and Joven I88P water heater, both with rain shower. What is the recommended height for the rain shower to work best? Thanks

I just install Alpha smart 18i and Joven I88P on last Saturday. Both are DC Inverter pump silent series with rain showers and water supply from water tank, i.e. low pressure.
1) Joven I88P - the pump only 1 fix speed, that's why always operate maximum and noisier. Installation also take more time than Alpha. The connector at the rain shower difficult to tighten and slight water leak. Only advantage is safety wise, the built in RCD is 10mA which is more sensitive than Alpha 18i only 15mA.
2) Alpha 18i - adjustable pump speed, hence, sounds like more silent. Quality and finishing better, easier to install. Good for low pressure water supply as the outcome is better.

How's the rainshower performance? Is the flow strong enough to be enjoyable?

Heard that rainshower is not that suitable for water supplied from water tank due to low pressure.

not strong, just like water flow down or small rain without much pressure instead of heavy rain or handshower...imagine a bit...
ya, not so suitable from water tank supply but kids love and enjoy it so much lor...so do me and my wife as no need to hold the handshower head. Alpha give better output.

Hi All,

I like to raise everyone concern on Water Heater

Today, there is another dead from Water Heater during Shower

The Water goes through a Compartment , which is made of Plastics & Inside is the heating Element.

A Good Brand, Japanese made, uses PA66 or what you may known as Nylon
The Best PA66 does not break. therefore it does not leak water

A bad design brand, in which I have seen uses PP or Polypropylene + other stuff. You've seen PP everywhere, like those coffee shop Chairs.
They will break in which the water will leak and touches the Board.
The Current then will follow the water and electrocute you.

So please make the right choice to benefits you
Your purchase should not benefits the Lousy Product Maker

Good Luck

Interesting info. Mind telling how would a buyer know whether the water heater uses PA66 or PP at the point of purchasing? Thanks!

depends how tall u are? and also how tall is the ceiling? lol

anyway, it doesn't matter, if installed higher u feel some presurre from water massaging your head/shoulder.. some like it some not..

if too low, while shampoo-ing or raise your hand to wash armpit.. ur finger may touch the base.. lol..

jz my personal experience..

just installed panasonic DH-3MP1 today. i notice that the dc pump starts running as soon as i power on the device and without any water. is this normal?

before this using alpha ac pump shower heater. pump will only run when water is turned on and will auto stop when water is turned off.

worried if i forget to turn off the power, dc pump will run throughout the whole night.

according to panasonic website, it has one push ON-OFF switch?
cant you just use the switch to off it?

yup, can turn off the dc pump if i use the push switch on the unit, or if i turn off the breaker switch.

but im just wondering whether normal for dc pump to start running even without water supply (with both switch and breaker on). confused.gif i though pump will only start when power and water is supplied.

i usually dont have a habit to turn off the switch at shower heater, only turn off breaker once i come out of the bathroom. sometimes i forget so breaker can be turned on for a few hours. if this is the case then dc pump will run for few hours also sweat.gif

based on my experience. i've used alpha ac pump and panasonic dc pump. pressure wise i dont feel there's a big difference. however, noise difference is "sky and earth"
