Yes. Although these companies might be advertising on Jobstreet or newspapers, you must still do your homework and find out more about them.
Jack Tan Marketing Sdn Bhd is also another one of this kind of firms. |

i've got an interview with Intelligence Synergy Sdn Bhd based in Putrajaya. is this company a scam too? i tried google this company but nothing seems to appear. what do you think? i need help! |

i have one incident when i was yelled at back when i do my part time at megan avenue II, KL.
i was yelled at because i ask when i could go for friday prayer since it was late already at that time.  then i didnt go for my friday prayer because i couldnt go. its a customer service job btw. "thank you for calling McDonald's, this is !@#$% speaking, how may i help you?" ( |

The manager is using those sweet talk with u and try to psycho u using 'manager' and 'profit' this 2 word to remain u at the company. He also using the calculator and press the 5 digit number and showed it to me what exactly amount he earning right now for each month  . My face is showing very serious look toward him but actually my mind is laughing non-stop when he talk to me regarding his own achievement by using the con trick.  After about 10 mins. i just told him that i might not suitable for this job, thanks for your offer btw. And he say he wont force u to enter this company, the door is open for u anytime. And, I feeling sympathy to one of the applicant which is the girl ( she is quite leng lui) and she agree to enter the company plus willing to resign her current job for it. I just hope she wont regret with her decision.  Just received a lol-news from my ex-colleague telling me that he also go for the interview for this company but different branch, he go for the orientation too and also been appoint one leader and been request to follow him go for the outdoor activities as well. He follow the leader around the shop and asking(begging) ppl to donate money as a charity funds for the unknown reason. The leader told my fren that the 10% of funds will go for their salary, my fren  and ask the how bout the remaining 90% and the leader just remain silent on it.  My fren had a bad feeling on it and just FFK them for another day... |

i hv gone 2 interviews one was at Wisma HLA (infront the Weld, Jln Raja Chulan), after all their presentation, it was a company asking you to be a member paying some money then u must sell their herbs product. Advertised as Customer Relationship Officer for IT Company from USA.
Another interview i went for company called ORO Penata at Ampwalk Jln Ampang. On the 1st day i can smell there is something not rite with the company, i left after my lunch time. Advertised for Secretary but you are supposed to do or find customer trade in FOREX. Headquarter in Auckland, NZ. To attract you they will ask you if u hv passport for a trip to Korea! In between that I was asked to come for interview at Wisma Lim Foo Yong (infront Istana hotel, Jalan Raja Chulan). Was making my search about this company, finally found out from a company next to this place that there are a lot of people going in and out the office and they are selling slimming products. Whats going on in Malaysia? |

I did the same thing when i was studying in Australia. Under Cobra group. Walk around like sohai selling talking santa and waterguns. And my team leader some nerd who drop out of uni. Good at talking cock only.

Just a tip,
For those who are going for interviews and not sure if the company is legit or not, instead of just posting here and asking for opinions, which is a good idea, but sometimes it may be hard to bump into somebody else who has been through the same company and willing to share their experience. Read the thread from first page to see if somebody has already shared their story/view of the company, or google for more information. And I would suggest that if you have the courage, just go for the interview etc, 'try the company out', but try to refuse or delay to sign any contract / job offer letter etc, ask for a few days to think first.. This is if you get the job immediately after interview.. Otherwise if they want to call you back after days/weeks (or months if you're interviewing for some slow bureaucratic old international companies), you got plenty of time for asking around! Try to spend some time to look around in the office, ask ppl that u see in the company how it is.. Chances are, they can give you more information about the job than us here, because they ARE working there! You might need to be friendly, smile a bit and approach some of your potential future co-workers, but hey there's nothing to lose.. If you plan to stay, you'd already made a friend, if you plan to leave, you wont see them anymore.. Usually unhappy workers are more than glad to share their woes with you over a cup of coffee in the pantry or out in a mamak stall.. Try to gauge the workplace atmosphere as well if you can access them or view them.. Does a majority of the people look sad, oppressed and 'forced' to do work, or are they smiling and happy, or at least serious and concentrated in their work.. Some firms may only give you 24 hours to consider before signing, others may require that you accept immediately or lose the job, so it's up to your discretion and negotiation skills how to proceed.. Remember one thing, the job has its value yes, but you as a potential worker/employee has a value also.. If it's the first few times you're going for interview, all you need is to push aside your fears and nervousness, and go through the interview and first few days of work with a clear mind, and evaluate whether its worthwhile to stay or to cabut.. Clarification on Manpower and EPF.
Yes it is true that it takes months for Manpower to open your account, we do submission to EPF once a month and it is being processed manually. Over there at EPF, it is also being done manually. If you open an account on ur own, you will get the account number on the same day. Upon your employment with Manpower, if you don't provide your EPF number to Manpower, your epf will still be deducted and will be floating for few months due to manual uploading on both sides and also due to the fact that there are thousands of employee every month. Worry not, your epf deduction and interest will be backdated to your date of employment with Manpower. As we have so many employees, it would be great if you can alert us if u discover that there are discrepancies in your epf contribution. We will check on your behalf and ensure the money is being credited. There is definitely no need for Manpower to cheat your EPF money |
