QUOTE(PinkGenie<3 @ Dec 4 2008, 11:28 AM) I bet most of you guys that looked through the classifieds had seen quite a few of Job Providers providing homebased data entry or typist job which offers around RM 450-RM 750 per assignment. Please do not fall into these scams. I'm one of the victims that had been cheated by these type of company. I went to the company for the interview and was told that I need to pay them RM168 as a "Consultation and Documentation processing fees." I was further informed that this fees will act as a security fees for them in case I didn't finish or return them the assignments in time. Without a second thought I paid them the money because I was desperately in need of a part time job. Never in my mind would I thought that this is a scam since I was given a original receipt and an agreement with their company chop and signature on. After one month with no phone calls from them, I've started to get worried. I've called them up asking about the status and was given excuse after excuse on how they are currently facing some problems with the outsourcing companies and will get back to me once they settled the problems. When I called again the second time, I was once again given the same excuse. At the back of my mind, I know that I've been cheated so I googled the name of the company "Mega Concept Access Resources" and it brings me to this page --> http://asiaparttime.com/blog/asiaparttime/...-job-is-a-scam/ After reading through the comments, I've found out that many out there had been cheated too by various of so called job providers. This thread is to spread this scam to everybody to avoid anyone from falling into it. Here's a list of company names and details that had been compiled earlier by http://asiaparttime.com/blog/scam/the-name...anies-revealed/ Haihhhh... |

QUOTE(Geminist @ Nov 5 2005, 07:39 PM) Category He cheated me..cheated my money.... Home Typist Job/Home Based Job Information Most of us here in LYN would have come across such jobs "Home Typist", "Part time jobs, home typist" and "Work from home" jobs ... Well, I for one, believe all of these are crap ... I'm not referring to freelancers doing web design in SOHO style, but I'm directly referring to those who are "offering" such job such as home typist, surf for us, data entry for us and etc jobs ... There are a few reasons I am saying these are potential scam ... If you happen to spot any one of this reason, then you should be on the look out .. 1) You don't need to pay anyone anything to start working with them, hey, they are employing you, so YOU should be paid ... Not the other way round 2) You just need to send them an email saying "Hey, I'm kinda interested, can I have more details?" Then immediately, you'll get the email saying, "Congrats, you have been choosen to xxxx" ... If you ever been to an interview, even for a waiter, do you seriouly think that you can get such jobs so easily just by few liners? No interview? No nothing? 3) Money is indeed tempting, but look at this ... If I am doing business and my business is surviving, will I be paying someone RM1000+ weekly/monthly to do surfing, data entry, typiing and etc jobs for me ... ? The right minded person would have paid RM800 for a clerk to SIT at the office and do all the jobs ... They told you they are outsourcing from foreign companies ... Haha ... Joke again ... Giving a 3rd party information that are related to a business is a no-no, the right minded business person will try their best not to disclose any information of their business ... 4) Last but not least, just to provide people here some hints, home based jobs, if they are related to typist, surfing the internet and other easy jobs .. I can assure you 90% and above are frauds and scam ... the rest would pay you very lowly, perhaps RM50+ or so for tons of work (not typist job though, it's for keying in balance sheet, translaating and proof reading and so on and so forth)... The phone number you provided is the SAME with the phone number provided by the famous pay me RM380 to work Dr. Lim ... And there's already discussion about that Dr. Lim is fraudalent ... What I am trying to state here is, your post is highly similar to all other post found above, including email and phone number.. Besides, a PO box address doesn't prove anything ... Lastly, RM1000+ weekly potential income (found in all of the site) are basically impossible based on the job scope ... If this is real, many would have already quite their current RM2000 paying job and join this job instead ... |

share my one month experience working in Regal Asia Group Sdn Bhd.
This company is my 2nd company after my graduation. it is located in Malacca. After an ending of a one month unhappy working in my 1 st company, I am looking out for a 2nd job as fast as possible to support my daily expenses bcz i am no more under my parents list. So I come across Regal Asia which I had contacted earlier even when i havent join my 1st company. when they contact me i had already reject cz i am opting for my 1st company. Then after a left from my 1st company, at a lost, i try to contact again this company. For god sake it still accept me. So i go for the interview. The office look like pretty furbish and standard although it is small. The position offer is a management trainee. then upon the interview, the director told me that the position is started from the lower management that is on field before being develop to a management that manage everything in the company. Normally my sense is strong but because want to do a job rather than jobless, i take up the job like an idiot. at there i was place under a malay which is of my age that is around 22 years(last year) which claimed to be my leader. My job function is to do cold calling meaning that to walk from house to house without any specific customer to sign up for streamyx. Yea before that, the paid got 2 type. one is with basic salary and target. and another one is with commission only without basic. and for your knowledge the director anyhow will pursuade u to take up the commission option. if u choose for the basic, then u are out of the game. cz he will not going to pay u.so my first week sales is not really good. i can only get 2 sign up. but because i dun have the bank account specific by them, so the commission around rm300 is enter to my boss account. and the working hours is damn terrifying. in the morning around 10am u need to be in the office doing their slogan, then in the afternoon around 2pm u need to go to house to house by ur own transport without allowance and petrol subsidy to cold call. my goodness, if u dun have sales, u are just making a pretty loss.petrol is not cheap either. This is the part on streamyx. after joining for 2 week signing up around 8 total. then this company change their so-called company project. now they are doing on wwf.we are being trained with all the info and this time we will need to be allocated to kl. we need to stay and it is provided. u need to pay rm50 to ur house mate. u need to bring ur own comforter. other wise u sleep on a cold floor. then u need to bear every day rm10 for the petrol to carry u to the destination.i get really frustrated. i try influence my colleague saying that even one month also kenot get rm 1000. whats the purpose of doing it spending all the time from 10 am to 10pm jz beck home. more ridiculous when in kl. back around 11.30pm++ then take turn to bathe around 12 ppl in the house. when reach my turn already 2am in the mornning. then the next day, the management say have morning meeting need to reach at 9am. all wake up at 7am need bath some more then need to beat the traffic travelling to the office in bukit bintang.take taxi need to pay some more. haiz making loss spending my whole hours there. Added on December 20, 2008, 8:51 amit is very tired to walk around the house to house u see. sometimes u even dun get any sign up and u make total loss even when u have to pay up the taxi, accomodation and also the transport. some more need to work till at night, for me a lady, my mum even worried although she had no idea wat work i am doing.sometimes the residents there even threaten to report police when i approach them. haiz. come straight to the point, this regal asia claimed to be one of the cobra group of dunno is USA OR uK. forgot liao. left this company 1 year liao. Jack tan management aso one of them. not only also got penang and jb. above jack tan management office got another office. i forget wat name liao. is the head for jack tan and regal, jb (CV corp) and also penang. For ur info, I left the company in a very informal way. bryan my director, saw me influence one of the quite potential colleague. he approach me and say. You are all negative. i don't need a negative team player. if u are not satisfied u can go, anyhow u did not provide the result that i expected. he sAY if i am to stay, i will need to abide and agree on the biz method. haha i agreed but the next morning which is a holiday, i ask a guy friend from malacca to pick me up the place where i am staying. thats is how my bye bye to regal. bcz in my agreement i am not bond to him. i am my own and only a agent to him in the contract that i sign. so no obligation to go anytime. What i not satisfied is Bryan KOH EE Earl my boss eat up my hard earn RM 300. not pay me back. cz even when my account is ready, i only get my commission of the future and backwards was taken away by bryan. i try to look for help from labour office but to no avail. u know what, the company had gone and i phone my previous colleague, she say the company has closed down. i call bryan, bryan say willl ask company to pay me but HE is a CHEATER.until today dun have the money.yea for ur info, the jb director whom are a UM graduated also close down CV corp. but i think one close the other one will open. SSM easy approve for sdn bhd gua. This post has been edited by evantz13: Dec 20 2008, 08:51 AM |

Pegasus Advertising Sdn.Bhd
Recently, went for the interview at their office located at Bangsar, at first thought it is an advertising firm and went bak for the orientation next day. Firstly, they appoint one leader and request me to follow him to xxx area and intro their product to shop to shop. They told me they are not doing sales but just wan to do a market surveying regarding the product but end up also wan to close their deal to those ppl, they just using 'market survey' as an excuse to prevent ppl thought it is a direct sales. Yes, this is not direct sales but it is the other method to con ppl using the other trick. Ok, here the funniest part.. After i realized it is some sort of tricky company, i just be frankly to the manager tell him that this is nothing different with those direct sales company. The manager is using those sweet talk with u and try to psycho u using 'manager' and 'profit' this 2 word to remain u at the company. He also using the calculator and press the 5 digit number and showed it to me what exactly amount he earning right now for each month Just received a lol-news from my ex-colleague telling me that he also go for the interview for this company but different branch, he go for the orientation too and also been appoint one leader and been request to follow him go for the outdoor activities as well. He follow the leader around the shop and asking(begging) ppl to donate money as a charity funds for the unknown reason. The leader told my fren that the 10% of funds will go for their salary, my fren This post has been edited by swc881: Dec 20 2008, 05:44 PM |

Most of the items in this tread seems to fall into two categories
1) company asks job seeker for deposit. 2) company advertising sales jobs as IT or management trainee. I don't understand this at all. Whenever we advertise a sales job, there's a ton of applicants. Why would anyone advertise something else, and then try to mislead you into taking up a sales job instead? I not saying that I don't believe all those people here who got their time wasted, applying for the wrong job. I'm just wondering about the person who put up that advertisement. |

I believe its because they want to make the job look more attractive. Me and my friends will never go for a sales job because that's not what we studied for. But alas, we got misled by the "management trainee" tactic. |

Has anyone heard of Metro Anthem and Maple Gateway ? Both are apparantly agents for a New Zealand company fxGBTrade which deal with Forex.
Here are the links to the company/job describtion. http://www.jenjobs.com/jobs/JobDetails.cfm...5&type=0&gift=0 http://www.jenjobs.com/jobs/JobDetails.cfm...2&type=0&gift=0 Its very obvious the both have same describtion for its company. I've had an interview with one of them which the interviewer was mainly describing the company, what it is doing and stuff and I will understand further bout the company's product after training. There were at least 10 people that went the interview (was at 10am). After abit of talking, questioning, etc, he ask me when can I start. "Immediately", I answered which propelled him to ask me to come for 2 days training, which is tomoro and friday. I found it fishy and decided to look thru LYN's forums n found this thread. After reading ALL (yeap) of it, this 2 companies seem to have a 80% probability being a scam/fraud. I am thinking of still attending the training tomoro just so I can share my story here too hahha. But damn.. waking up early just to go a scam talk is kinda demoralizing. Anyone have heard of this 2 companies before ? Ops forgot to add, starting pay is guaranteed RM 3.5k <<WoW eh ? Hey guys, i have went for the interview at bangsar which the company name 'Dynamic Approach'. During the interview, i accidentally glance the DS-MAX plate on the cubicle. I asked him twice whether this is sub company for DS-MAX but he say the plate are belongs to the manager not him plus also deny this is sub company for DS-MAX, but it really weird about the company because it only single person at there and he manage all the interview alone. Very suspicious towards this company...
