Does teaching English in the UAE in a private language institution for USD 4500 a month sound too good?

What about job offers for other countries? Can we check the companies at their respective embassies in KL?

I recall when I jobless in 2002, The 'Home Assignment' ads in the Stars was really hit. The so called 'Home Assingment' was actually train youon how to buy and sell market share. I was so naive and attend this type of company twice! :opps: One in Bukit Bintang area, another in Medan Promenade.

First one, in Bukit Bintang area, the trainer, mostly between 20-25yrs old) do give some home assignments to us and those only simple calculation. We had many simulations and that was quite fun. After 1 wk, end of training, they called for interview. The intervier, another young man, his left eye (Oh no...I still remember!) been beated by someone/something, exactly looks like panda eye! I'm very sure he didn't has the panda left eye when I see him days before interview. In fact, anyone would know the 'panda eye' is bruise. During the interview, I know this job is fraud, it required me to invest my own $ and get the customers by myself. I leave then and I just couldn't stop myself to create imagination of the 'panda eye' tongue.gif that hits by {a trainee after the trainee realise he has been cheated } OR {a customer lose $ b'coz his wrong investment}. :box:

Second one, in Ampang area, I thought this one might be genuine. The trainers look more professional and mature, and they have computers on their table. They give us similar training and assignment, then I got the interview. Sigh... same crap. I meet few new employees there and they tried to say good thing abt the job but I'm not convienced and I leave. They sit there and hv done nothing other than chitchat. This job is no basic pay and all commisions based.

Who want to invest five figure $ in risky stock market which manage by a inexperienced newbie who only gone thru 1 wk training??

I heard this crap before i attend the training sessions but I didn't realise they use the indirect tactic. This is not new but just would like to share my experience here. Think positively, I learn something abt the industry. I only work in prestige MNC now.

Hey I would like to ask around whether any of you come across this talent agency - Pai Talents and Management.
It seems like after doing much research on internet, I found that there's a lot scams around.
Unfortunately, what happened to me and my boyfriend is similar to what has been described by various situation.
Yes, we paid them RM 200 for so called opening an portfolio before we start our first job. On top of that, we even signed an agreement.

BEWARE: Job Offer Scam and Tactic

This happened to me.

The offer is just way to good to be true, the pay they paying me is for people with more than 5 or 10 years experience involving in big project. For people like me, i must be admit to say that i do not desire that kind of pay and do not have that kind of qualification. That is where i started to think, check and ask around. I even went to the Nigeria High Commission in KL to help me to verify the offer, company and agent (verification still in process sweat.gif ). In the end, i surfed around the internet and found out the company is one of the scam company.

But i must say that they are very good in it, they make it so professional in the paper, until i also believe in it. They even called me up for the work and permit procedures (too bad for them, it is my turn to fool them up and down).

I will post up the documents and emails for everyone to refer to and be EXTREME careful for this kind of job offer scam. I do not want people think they are so lucky, so happy they found a very high pay job, but in the end got scammed or cheated for their hard earn money and they dream job go into drain.

One of the reason i so believe in it, because the scam company posted the job in JobStreet.com. I even called up JobStreet to report about this scam and JobStreet told me they have already banned the company. The reason the scam company still can continue their scam on me is because:
1) I applied the job early (i think right after they posted it) and the JobStreet not in time to stop them or not yet notice them.
2) The scam company only need your information such as: your contact number, and email address.
3) I did not know what company JobStreet have banned or blacklisted (I never check for that kind of information)

But it is good to know that JobStreet.com do stop or block scam company, just that i think they need to improve their system (The system should be able to delete away the job application that we had applied which involved the blocked or banned scam company, or atleast alert the user to beware about it.)

The website told me the company is one of the scam company. Here.

Below is picture of how their scam procedure or process:

They will post the job, job description and requirement etc on internet to get people information.

3]

They will initiate the contact with you to your email address. The first email they contact me for application and interview.

4]

They will offer the employment letter and contract agreement through email.

The 3rd party (Agency) will come into picture to start their work permit etc and require money transfer via online.

JobStreet and other job sites have their own "Anti-Fraud" measures. However it's not easy to have 100% fraud-free website as some of these bad guys are very smart and smooth.

Anyway the rule of thumb is always to "Google" about a company if it is not well known. The rule of thumb is "if the offer is too good to be true, then it might not be true" and never pay some processing fees to get a job.
