This is Air Asia and everything is a la carte. So it's pretty normal.

I am one of the BIG member but that is only for flight redemption, no?

Looking for a flight from Melb-KL and it requires 56k points + $170

Nothing special. In order to get 56k points you need to spend 112k on flight alone!

Ya. I only have 556 points after few flights with AA from Melb-KL. Maybe because I got the cheap fare and my points are lower. Should have count the miles I have travel instead of money I have spent tongue.gif

MAS only has six Airbus A380-800, currently all flown exclusively to London, Paris and Hong Kong only. And yes, all these six have the same interior, same AVOD system, same seat types etc.

Because the KUL-MEL flight is not a zero fare ticket.

Actually many other airlines such as those full service carriers are doing the same. On certain frequent flyer programs, you do not get any miles at all if your ticket is a deeply discounted ticket, while some will still give you some but probably just 25% or 50% of the actual mileage flown.

AirAsia is cheap 4years back, but not now. Now its better for us to keep an eye for MAS.! I even got a return flight to Taiwan with MAS for just rm197~~;-))

Just got my London one way ticket for Rm1200~~ With Mas also.. Last few weeks i even saw MAS got promo with just rm90 for KL-Kota Kinabalu for just rm90!..

So? Haha.. I would go for MAS.. Eventhough got around 10k Big Points but i cant use it for anythings..@@" All the flight that redeemable is 20k points++ or some after redeem with points add on all the tax it still costy.@@"

Go for MAS and collect Enrich Miles even better. Haaha.

Agreed that airasia was much cheaper few years back due to less charges around. Checked for MAS promo recently. The ticket is cheap however the surcharges is crazy. Around RM 800++ for return trip from kk to taipei. When did you get the tickets for so cheap?

Going to fly from penang - kl and kl - taipei end of the month. Already purchased check-in luggage for return trip from kl-taipei. Wonder if penang airport will let me pass through bringing a 46 litres backpack and a small backpack. Have no problem so far travelling with my 46 litres backpack so far. Don't want to take the risk at LCCT as I know the staffs there are much more stricter.

Not all the tickets will be 99sen.. Only selected date and very limited.. when grabbed during the 1st hour of sales, you miss the chance. So if you wanna get the price, you really needs to be the 1st or choose dates that are not so common, weekdays & atleast 9mth to a year in advance

A friend of mine told me there is promo for MAS. No surcharge for all ticket books through mobile booking. Thats why its cheap. MAS is expensive for surchage as their service and aeroplane parking also more expensive than AA ;-) But service much more better than AA. AA charge you for everthing. Only going toilet is free in AA. Maybe in future need to pay also? hahaha... Pay nvm, but nowadays, ticket also expensive ad@@"

Hi all,

Anyone have any experience taking a photo frame - 50 cm by 60 cm as check in luggage or hand carry? The only thing I scare when check in is they damage the frame during transport. It can't fit into my largest trolley luggage so it will be only the paper box it come with, maybe some plastic wrap at the airport?

Thanks.
