You can check-in 2 or many more luggage provided if the combined weight is not more than 15kg. I hv done that so many times and on my recent trip days ago, I did it again by checking 2 backpacks wth total weight 14.8kg. no problem
There was 1 occassion my total combined luggages >15Kg and what I did is quicky take out those chargers (Notebook & h/phone) & some clothings out & hand carry. Settled haha QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Nov 15 2011, 07:13 AM) Are you talking about 2 hand luggage or check in luggage? This post has been edited by stimix: Nov 16 2011, 10:29 AMIf it was check in luggage, then they will not allow the weight to be combined because it's 2 different booking. If it was hand luggage, then they are inhuman because there are 2 of you so of course your wife can also carry yours for you. |

Unker Tony really mad liao haha..Put his words to the terms of Carriage haha..Latest from AP to:
QUOTE By Agence France-Presse, Updated: 11/30/2011 AirAsia's Fernandes slams Malaysia terminal cost AirAsia boss Tony Fernandes has slammed Malaysian airport authorities after they announced costs for a new low-cost carrier terminal would double and it would be delayed by more than a year. The maverick head of the budget airline said in a Twitter post seen Wednesday that Malaysia Airports Holdings was the "worst-run Malaysian company." Malaysia Airports said in a press release that the new terminal near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and known as klia2 will be "the world's largest purpose-built terminal for low-cost carriers". The company said the terminal, whose main tenant is Malaysia-based AirAsia, will be bigger than originally announced and will have fully automated baggage handling systems to cater for 45 million passengers a year. "klia2 has been significantly upgraded with superior facilities compared to the original design to be a more passenger-friendly terminal," the company said in its statement Tuesday. But because of the "enhancements", costs are expected to reach up to 3.9 billion ringgit ($1.2 billion), up from an initial 2.0 billion ringgit, and the airport is targeted to start operations in April 2013 instead of being completed by the third quarter of 2011. Malaysia Airports said it had engaged AirAsia "throughout the development process". But Fernandes called the costs "whopping" in another Tweet and predicted further expenses. "Full of empty promises," Fernandes wrote. "30 million passengers is already one of the largest terminals in the world... Now suddenly 45 million passengers." Fernandes is frequently at odds with the airport management company. In 2009, AirAsia unveiled plans to shift to its own airport as frustrations rose over its shabby and overcrowded terminal. But the government vetoed the plan. AirAsia has become one of the airline industry's biggest success stories after Fernandes, a former music industry executive, acquired the then-failing company a decade ago. |

You need to compare. hard to say.. sometime during bug sales, if u can't get the AA promo, the AA go still having similar promo and during this time, the price really tempting. AA last time JV wth hostelworld so the price is similar to what hostelworld offer. but not sure now.

I suggest those buying promo in advance not to buy luggages, insurance, seat num, food & etc till the very last minutes.. to avoid chances you forfeit the ticket due to wrong schedule or wrong timing bcos the only thing you can claim back is the Airport tax & nothing else...

If it's a backpack -possible- I hv seen lotsa ppll bringing backpack inside the plane. per pax, u say only 4kg -no need to check-in-lah bcos if the size doesn't meet the measurement meaning the luggage itself already> 4kg. (Normally)

D- AAX, AK- Local AA, FD- AA-Thai & QZ-AA-Indon. Soon probably got AAX Japan liao haha
Whatever, All still Air Asia Family. AAX are using bigger planes & expensive food, baggages fee, seats & etc for sure. Web-check-in-lah. I dunno how to use mobile check-in - never use b4. I normally check-in once they emailed me the reminder.. Easier & chances of sitting tigether higher bcos you check-in much earlier than others. Don't wait till last minute..That time..Husband one end and wife another end.. haha |

At 1st I also always kena as what you experienced.. However on my last 2 trips to Beijing & another to Medan, I checked in early. i.e right a week b4 departure. All 3 of us managed to sit together coming bck from Beijing but not going to. Anyway small matter as we managed to switch wth one guy. (Both flights ~ 90% full)
On Medan also, we got 3 seats together on outgoing & back one seperated but easily switched haha. So I think, it's bcos of early check-in lor..previouly I checked in 1-2 days b4 and all of us or one of us seperated for sure |
