QUOTE(SpyMalaysia @ Nov 14 2011, 11:59 PM) Just joined on v2 & v3 start already! Hey you guys, just a word of warning about AirAsia policy of purchasing tickets at different times for the same flight, do not share a bag even with your wife, it is their policy to charge you for the extra weight. Here is a brief of my story that I believe bordered on discrimination against disabled passengers, (I broke my kneecap after purchasing tickets). My original plans were for me to travel alone but I acted upon AirAsia's advice to book an extra ticket for my wife and subsequently got penalised for it. Apparantly I am not allowed to share a bag with my wife if we did not purchase the tickets at the same time. So here I was on crutches listening to check-in staff saying I must pay for the extra weight or not be allowed on the flight. They seriously thought that I should have burdened my wife with 2 bags when I am temporarily disabled & cannot help her carry them. They could not accept this was an exceptional circumstance & show some common sense by allowing the combined weight for our baggage. An unbelievably inflexible attitude! I would like to add that this did not happen in Malaysia, but we both travelled from Penang to KL & then onto Stansted & received fantastic customer service from AirAsia staff, and no, we did not have to pay extra for our shared baggage in Malaysia, this only happened on the return leg to KL. Full story on my Air Asia complaint and poor customer serviceAs far as I know, only those tickets that share the same booking number can share the luggage weight. But yeah, sometimes it depends on the staff as well. Some might be kind enough to let you pass through while most of it no.

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Dec 9 2011, 05:04 AM) means that the luggage, seats, food and misc things are set at fixed price and never change even though we book last minute? if this true, I'll follow this advice whenever I made future reservations Yes, the price is fixed. Surprisingly, the line is so smooth now that doesn't seems like there's a promotion going on. No error, no waiting.

My mum and her friends are go to India next week. They're flying with AirAsia. I already web checked-in for them. So, once at KL, they will need to check-in their luggage before going to the departure gate. Is the check-in counters are congregated near the McD only or there's another check-in counters somewhere near the OldTown? I usually fly domestically so I'm not very familiar with international check-in counter. Where does the international baggage drop off counter usually located at? I need to advise them accordingly because they are going on ttheir own and they're not familiar with all these.

If they can't afford it, they shouldn't have introduce so many routes. Now causing trouble and disappointment to the passengers.

Who have face this situation before? can share yours and solution? Thanks Are you flying from KK - Clark? If yes, this is the reason: AirAsia suspended Kota Kinabalu – Clark route

Do not want to make any trouble when check in Log in to Manage my booking. Click Modify on that particular flight. Then choose Update details > Traveller details. To change the DOB, you need to click on the guest's name.

QUOTE(OriginalColours @ Jan 19 2013, 11:41 PM) Hello everyone, I sent few e-mail to AA. Almost two weeks, they don't give me a respond. What to do? maybe you can try to go to the nearest airport and look for AirAsia counter. the staff might be able to help you to do the amendment. you can try to call them and ask first before paying a trip to the airport.

QUOTE(Tavia88 @ Sep 16 2013, 01:04 PM) AirAsia is cheap 4years back, but not now. Now its better for us to keep an eye for MAS.! I even got a return flight to Taiwan with MAS for just rm197~~;-)) Just got my London one way ticket for Rm1200~~ With Mas also.. Last few weeks i even saw MAS got promo with just rm90 for KL-Kota Kinabalu for just rm90!.. So? Haha.. I would go for MAS.. Eventhough got around 10k Big Points but i cant use it for anythings..@@" All the flight that redeemable is 20k points++ or some after redeem with points add on all the tax it still costy.@@" Go for MAS and collect Enrich Miles even better. Haaha. Agreed that airasia was much cheaper few years back due to less charges around. Checked for MAS promo recently. The ticket is cheap however the surcharges is crazy. Around RM 800++ for return trip from kk to taipei. When did you get the tickets for so cheap? Going to fly from penang - kl and kl - taipei end of the month. Already purchased check-in luggage for return trip from kl-taipei. Wonder if penang airport will let me pass through bringing a 46 litres backpack and a small backpack. Have no problem so far travelling with my 46 litres backpack so far. Don't want to take the risk at LCCT as I know the staffs there are much more stricter.
