the last time i am having the issue is when i just got the phone, and what i did just reset the phone(reset all data, and setting and start setup from new phone again) then it solved...

Off teh auto brightness and just drag your finger on the status bar to change brightness to anything you desire...

My opinion, all samsung based rom are about the same. Just flash one, if it is stable no issue then stick with it until you get bored or a newer improved rom base comes out.

ya i found this to be the best way, its convenient, n instant than auto brightness setting n to the brightness of our choice...

I'm not a fan of neither OC nor rooting. I feel comfortable with stock ROM for any phone that I have. Just making a valid point to the other person argument that OC is not solely a unique trait of SGSII

I had almost the same issue. The LYN seller that I got this phone said his supply come from SEP so he didn't SMS on the spot. But since close to one week no SMS arrive, I registered for one year warranty by myself, afraid there's no warranty from the SEP at all. Will I still be valid for two years if the SEP finally register for me? Or I have been conned by the seller?

Like I said, it happened yesterday only after an update to new Kies version

Should have go back there and demand for the sms registration. cant really comment on the warranty since all that I bought from SEP got instant sms after the seller register in front of me but for my SGS2 I also didn't get any SMS since I bought it at SenQ and didn't bother to register myself as well.

for the kies problem, did it install the driver after you update? I updated my kies a few days back as well. after that my PC keep installing the driver every time I plug in but now its ok already. can plug n play like normal.

Thanks for your reply. Multiple calls and sms to the seller but he kept saying waiting for SEP to register. Then, he blamed me when he knows that I have registered for one year by myself, saying that damage has been done and no more 2 years warranty is available (his english is suck btw). So is this true? Does this meant that my registration has overlapped the e-warranty even though from SEP stock?

Regarding the Kies, it has reinstalled the driver when I did the troubleshooting. But still the PC can't even detect the phone . When I changed to mass storage mode, no problem as the PC manage to detect it well

flashing insecure kernel ( downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671 ) using odin3.. will this root my sgs2?? do i have to run s2 root??

then flash back to stock kernel... right?? i want to use odin3 method... is this true way to root??
