A new thread already? If i'm on jogging, will be dead of exhausted.

BTW, I updated Kies to the latest version yesterday kies 2.1.0.11095_121 and my SGS is on stock ROM 2.3.3. Here's the detailed problem:

1. Somehow not only Kies can't detect the phone, even the usual pop-up windows doesn't appear.
2. When connected to PC, there's a weird sound from the PC (seems to say there's a problem with the connection) unlike previously when everything is ok
3. I have tried the troubleshoot connection errors but to no avail
4. Kies says that my phone is a device that doesn't support Kies 2.0

Anyone can help?

Nope. not at all.

I'll say with better pixel too since the resolution is higher. Pixels still can be seen on SGSII. And I should add that it comes with 1.4GHz dual-core, so that's a major difference as well. not to forget the inclusion barometer sensor as well

The same argument is valid to Note as well, I mean if it's based on 1.4GHz, wonder how far it can go. I remember when Streak was introduced several years ago. Back then everyone says 5" phone is an abomination . For me, SGSII is already out of reach with single hand operation. Those looking for larger real estate will go for note anyway since it's better for drawing and note taking

Battery capacity is larger due to larger screen and higher processor that requires more juices. So I guess it all goes down to individual operation, not necessarily means will be longer

So anyone can help me with this? I can't tether with my PC due to this problem

I'm not a fan of neither OC nor rooting. I feel comfortable with stock ROM for any phone that I have. Just making a valid point to the other person argument that OC is not solely a unique trait of SGSII

I had almost the same issue. The LYN seller that I got this phone said his supply come from SEP so he didn't SMS on the spot. But since close to one week no SMS arrive, I registered for one year warranty by myself, afraid there's no warranty from the SEP at all. Will I still be valid for two years if the SEP finally register for me? Or I have been conned by the seller?

Like I said, it happened yesterday only after an update to new Kies version

Thanks for your reply. Multiple calls and sms to the seller but he kept saying waiting for SEP to register. Then, he blamed me when he knows that I have registered for one year by myself, saying that damage has been done and no more 2 years warranty is available (his english is suck btw). So is this true? Does this meant that my registration has overlapped the e-warranty even though from SEP stock?

Regarding the Kies, it has reinstalled the driver when I did the troubleshooting. But still the PC can't even detect the phone . When I changed to mass storage mode, no problem as the PC manage to detect it well

OK guys an update.

Problem has been solved. Should anyone have similar problem, here are the things that I have done.

1. Uninstall both Kies & Samsung driver for mobile phone from PC.
2. Fresh install of Kies of previous version: 2.0.3.11082_152_4
3. Connect SGS and follow all remaining steps.

I don't whether the new Kies version is the problem or what but I don't update the Kies to that version.

How long have you used iPhone 4? And why do you swapped with SGSII?

So tech-wise you should be already smart enought to know that you should be doing research before spending cash on anything

I believe the problem could lies in the fact that I already have Amazon account with Malaysian address prior to buying it. I use the same account for Amazon on the phone. but even I tried with new account seems not working because the device has been associated with the previous one. Even unlink from the previous account doesn't do anything

Same here. especially after taking new pictures. but sometime working fine even after new pictures has been taken

My problem last time as well. Sent to Samsung service center at PJ. They replace the cable inside. Got it back after exactly a week. No more problem now.

And do you know that it also work even with photo? This has been confirmed in the news and I even tried with my Visidon Applock. Same thing

Unless Google has work out a better algorithm and mechanism to distinguish real and still photo, this feature seems like a gimmick only
