depends on u actually. Personally i prefer spread method(with finger). Others prefer just put a bit at the centre and straight away fit back the heatsink ady

nope, flip ur laptop, there is a serial key for windows. That one is genuine key for windows 7 home premium. So u just need a installation disc for the windows, then when asked for the key just type in the key on the sticker

lol the high pitch 'yee yee yee' sound? Lol that problem long time ady, can say when i first bought my N45SF(day 3 of official launch) ady got that problem til now ady. If u put adapter and battery on together at the same time, then run something heavy, then u'll get this sound. This sound has nothing to do with software, its sound of circuit overload which is totally not good at all. Do a few more times u might fry ur motherboard just like that

for N55sf, u flip to the back u should see a plate near battery there(not hdd that one), after u remove that piece, u can see 2 screws i guess, one is keyboard, one is the ODD. remove the ODD screw, then just use a screwdriver or something to pry the ODD out. Caddy wise just get a SATA universal 12.7mm one will do xD

hope this help, this is a quick guide last time i taught a forumer here xD. If anything feel free to drop a message to me or something. Been busy nowadays so i can't really make a full guide with pictures >.< my bad
QUOTE(nnyymm @ Dec 27 2011, 06:53 PM) lol, sorry bro, having class for the whole day@@ didn't notice ur post. Well now i'm quite busy coz i need to present case for my doctor. So for now i cannot make a guide with pictures. But i can roughly guide u here thru words. Ok, first thing first, u turn to the bottom of the laptop. Unscrew every screw u see, take out ur harddisc(the whole thing with the metal thing), unplug ur ram also. Coz there is a hidden screw under the ram, this screw secured ur touchpad one. The wifi card u might wan to plug off the black and white wires. Then remember there are 3 more screw under the battery(if u are plugging battery now). Then u can take a flat screw driver to pry ur dvd-rom out which will make ur disassemble much easier(just one screw securing the dvd-room at the back). after u unscrew everything single screw ady, flip it back and open up ur lid. Now u will take out the speaker grill first. U might need something sharp coz the grill fit nicely. U need to pry off from both left and right top corner. U might need to use a bit of force coz there are hinge under it. after the speaker grill come off, there are a few more screw securing the keyboard and the speaker. As usual, unscrew all of them.(make sure u put ur screw accordingly so u know how to put it back later). After the keyboard come off, u will see a ribbon attached to ur keyboard and touchpad. Unplug them both also. Then there are a few screws securing the metal with the motherboard. Unscrew them also. Ok, now u need something sharp also, u need to start prying the edge of the whole front plate(the place it hold keyboard, the touchpad and all). There are hinge all around it so u might need to go slow and take ur time. After u take out the whole thing, ur motherboard is pretty much exposed. But the usb port vga port are still attached to the left side of ur laptop. So u might wan to push it a bit from the outside then ur motherboard goes free xD. Now the only wires that attached to the motherboard should be the screen only. For my case coz it seems too fragile so i didn't unplug it. I just let the screen attached to my motherboard. Now the heatsink for gpu and cpu are beneath the motherboard. Turn it over, then u should see them. WARNING(!!!!!) this is very important, u should see a yellow sticker for warranty one stick somewhere around here(mine one was sticked on one of the cpu screw). I took it out slowly and stick it somewhere else. Don break this sticker, its warranty sticker. WARNING(!!!!!)before u unscrew and take out ur heatsink, becareful, next to ur cpu there is a thing black in colour that has a shape for a flat screwdriver one. That thing basically locks ur CPU in place. So basically u need to use a flat screw driver to turn it to the other side to unlock ur cpu. If u try to take the cpu out with this thing locked u might breaks ur cpu. So u are pretty much there xD. Just take out the heatsink, clean it properly, make sure u wipe the remaining thermal paste clean. Then apply ur new artic cooling mx-4 xD. Don apply too much, if too much it might cause negative effect. Then after that slowly assemble back ur laptop xD. |

QUOTE(nuttyking91 @ Dec 28 2011, 08:33 PM) i always get random freeze & sound distortion when playing games. I can't open up task manager or even force shut the program, only by pulling the plug or the on button for few seconds. Hmmm is this hardware or software based problem? So far no crashes when running stress programs like furmark n intel burn test. same here. Its totally random, can't really pin point what causes the problem |

^ u shouldn't have format ur laptop lol. IF spillage, what u should do is to wipe off any visible spillage, turn off ur laptop(off completely including the plug), then if u know how to do it u open up the laptop and let the spillage dry(if just plain water, if chocolate/milk then thing can get worse). By the means of drying i mean just dry it under fan just like that. Don put it under hot sun or else it may spoil

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Jan 6 2012, 02:41 PM) The cards performance itself should be close, can it support til that high? coz last time i remembered, if GTX460M still ok, GTX470M need to mod and flash the bios, then others still trying right. Somemore M15x power is insufficient for those GTX580M and such. The N55SF should run games better and cooler, since it has lower resolution as well, assuming the M15x you refer has Full HD. But, the M15x have more potential in upgrading, you can upgrade to nVidia GTX580M/AMD HD6970M.. M15x is kinda hard to get it in the market now also. But u can try putochip 123 in this forum |

QUOTE(mdnoor88 @ Jan 6 2012, 08:59 PM) that one quite high performance graphic card are not meant to be compared with the memory. It has nothing to do with performance difference, its not like 2gb card surely better than 1gb card. Those memory are best utilized when u are using multiple monitor/multi display. GT555M still outshine GTX260M a bit since gtx260m had some age adyanyway i try to compare which may run games faster and ok gtx260m or gt555m? coz im so confused between m15x with gtx260m or n55sf with gt555m gtx260m come with 1gb grafik memorie, but this asus come with gt555m 2gb wich is better? |
