Hi, thanks for the input guys.

I did a clean reformat up to finishing all the needed drivers in about 1 hour and 15 mins only. So convenient!

And yeah, like nuttyking said, I'll be amazed with a virgin N55 and it was!

Blazing fast! Boot time improved by significant amount, as well as no more crazy processes. (I got the SmartLogon though lol..coz its cool to have as I hate typing passwords every time tongue.gif)

Now, is to experiment the Throttle stop, I'm going as high as 86C when playing game.. palm area hot is understandable, but to the keyboard areas as well, is a bit too much.

Going home today, I will try on a good laptop cooler. (I play without battery, and in air conditioned room directly blowing towards it)
*
boss awaiting ur temperature benchmark when u got your cooler. i'm deciding whether which one to get brows.gif you can download HWMonitor here . It can monitor ur laptop's temp sensor biggrin.gif

Why too much? Palm rest is where the HDD located. Keyboard area is the real stuff, CPU and GPU located there and it produce more heat than HDD..

Yes, the USB 3.0 ports work, but the one next to the subwoofer port doesn't.
EDIT : Tried the subwoofer port as well, it doesn't work. Yes, I've installed the audio drivers, and plugged the audio jack in properly.

Is necessary need a cooling pad for n55sf?I thinking buy a cooling pad around RM50-RM90...its keyboard cover also quite hard to find...

bro don't get keyboard cover. I heard air intake is from keyboard? Anyone who knows this better pls correct me if i'm wrong. smile.gif cooling pad, u can try cooler master u2for that price i think. Good performance for that price point. But the effectiveness on this laptop is questionable cause there are very few n small holes beneath the laptop. hmm.gif

Are you sure N55sf has this feature?I never heard this before..I think U2 looks very flexible for the fan..Thanks to you..
Maybe I will consider NotePal Infinite or U2..But need thanks to you also...
But N55sf is 15 inch..Anyhow are you selling the keyboard cover?
*
i aso dunno that's what i heard but this has yet to be confirmed about the air intake source lol since the bottom has so few holes there must be somewhere the fan draws in the air lol

I'm back after 2 hours of disassembling & assembling of my laptop. Applied Arctic Cooling MX-4. Run Furmark for 20 minutes with max 85C n averaging 82C. With stock paste running Furmark was about 86-87C average. Intel stress test to the max(4threads) with stock paste average 90-96C with max spike to 100C. With Arctic MX-4 max spike was 97C with average 85-90C.

Although it does heat up almost the same as the stock paste(max 2-4C cooler) , it takes longer time to heat up & the average temp was significantly lower (4-6C)

Thx Kevin for guiding me rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

i think the cable is loose thats y can't detect that side. Cuz i've seen inside the subwoofer port n usb are like seperated from the motherboard n is connected by cables lol

sO far.. just a thought of avoiding using the evercool NB-FT1 or FT2 sucker as ive used it b4..  cos it can only hold up to appx 80 celcius temp pressure only as the small sucker fan speed is not fast enough i guess... about +/- 3800 rpm... if u continue to let it suck above 80c it will bottleneck/block the vent area (neither attach it neatly to the vent nor leaving some gap away) would found your GPU n CPU temp raise to the worst instead!  icon_idea.gif

would be satisfaction's guaranteed if there's any better fanspeed creator for this type...  hehe..  thumbup.gif
*
brows.gif so all coolers are useless for this particular model (N45/55)? laugh.gif btw can adjust the laptop heatsink fan speed? cool2.gif
