depends on u actually. Personally i prefer spread method(with finger). Others prefer just put a bit at the centre and straight away fit back the heatsink ady

I did a clean reformat up to finishing all the needed drivers in about 1 hour and 15 mins only. So convenient!

And yeah, like nuttyking said, I'll be amazed with a virgin N55 and it was!

Blazing fast! Boot time improved by significant amount, as well as no more crazy processes. (I got the SmartLogon though lol..coz its cool to have as I hate typing passwords every time )

Now, is to experiment the Throttle stop, I'm going as high as 86C when playing game.. palm area hot is understandable, but to the keyboard areas as well, is a bit too much.

Going home today, I will try on a good laptop cooler. (I play without battery, and in air conditioned room directly blowing towards it)

Why too much? Palm rest is where the HDD located. Keyboard area is the real stuff, CPU and GPU located there and it produce more heat than HDD..

ARGH, the top USB port isn't working (Non-USB 3.0), what do I do? D:

EDIT : All of the drivers are of the latest version, and I tried rolling back the drivers that could be rolled back, didn't work.

No, no error reporting window appeared. I tried my mouse and my pen drive.

Yes, the USB 3.0 ports work, but the one next to the subwoofer port doesn't.
EDIT : Tried the subwoofer port as well, it doesn't work. Yes, I've installed the audio drivers, and plugged the audio jack in properly.

hi .. i just bought my n55sf i5 .. i hav a problem with the hotkeys on left column ... i dono whether i accidentaly deactivated it or what ... it is just not functioning any way to solve the problem ? whole left column (play/pause .. stop .. + volume , - volume and mute) is not working ...

i used 2days .. first 2 day everyday work fine ... ever since i put in my microsoft wireless keyboard n mouse ... and this things happen le     

Is necessary need a cooling pad for n55sf?I thinking buy a cooling pad around RM50-RM90...its keyboard cover also quite hard to find...

i got myself a cooler master note pal L1 .. it cost only rm 36.90 @ all IT .. it works well and air intake from keyboard @@"? .. i wanna know that izzit truth o not ahaha ..

Any ideas on how to get the media keys working with iTunes?

i have a high end cooler master, totally not effective lol... it does blow cold air, but not the way it shud on this machine, i use HWM temp, same temp after 1 hour monitoring...

probably we will need cooler that sucks air, not blows.

sO far.. just a thought of avoiding using the evercool NB-FT1 or FT2 sucker as ive used it b4..  cos it can only hold up to appx 80 celcius temp pressure only as the small sucker fan speed is not fast enough i guess... about +/- 3800 rpm... if u continue to let it suck above 80c it will bottleneck/block the vent area (neither attach it neatly to the vent nor leaving some gap away) would found your GPU n CPU temp raise to the worst instead! 

would be satisfaction's guaranteed if there's any better fanspeed creator for this type...  hehe..
