When i start up my laptop recently, it blinks like 3 times on LED indicator before actually booting in. In batt mode, i had to press the power button 3 times.

its gettin annoyin and if anyone can help me, i'd appreciate it very much..
If possible, sending it to ASUS center would be the last option since i live in Miri and i dun want to be without a laptop for such a period.

hye guys, I got a problem with my n55, my speaker seems like broken, it produce something like distorted sound when playing media like breaking sound, any idea why?

i tried uninstalling the realtek audio driver, seems like the distorted sound is gone, will it do any harm if im not using the realtek driver?

lol the high pitch 'yee yee yee' sound? Lol that problem long time ady, can say when i first bought my N45SF(day 3 of official launch) ady got that problem til now ady. If u put adapter and battery on together at the same time, then run something heavy, then u'll get this sound. This sound has nothing to do with software, its sound of circuit overload which is totally not good at all. Do a few more times u might fry ur motherboard just like that

u can check the BIOS from your windows start >> search for "system information" >> summary

I don't know if this was discussed before, but here is a little tip for people that like to have clean desktops with NO ICONS (with "Show Desktop Icons" off)

If you go and uncheck "Show Desktop Icons" from the desktop menu, they will disappear, BUT... restart or log off/on and WTF   THEY ARE BACK!!!

A pretty piece of software called "Power 4 Gear" provided by ASUS prevents that setting to be saved. It rewrites the registry entry that saves that setting to "ON"
every time you log into windows.

SOLUTION

There is only one - UNINSTALL Power4Gear (that's what i did, it is almost useless ) OR... HAVE ICONS ON YOUR DESKTOP

When i attend a video call with someone, the resolution is very low and the move is very-very slow (i think it is about 5-10fps). My mother's packard bell notebook's quality is significantly higher... Exist a good driver/app to change the 25-years old ASUS driver and app or not? ?
