Few months ago i did mentioned which is better endup i have decided Summer and has installed last month. Overall everything is fine. Good sales person, good product, good after sales service and etc. I even buy the water filter as well after installing the Summer solar system (good filter). thumbup.gif

Guys,
Just to Share from my experience on my newly installed Micro Solar

My Situation

Especially the MS TAN

Few Complaints towards Micro Solar
Ms Tan from MicroSolar HQ always pushes the Blame on customer, before i tell her all the problem straight she will POINT the blame on me..

1) Did not come to my house to inspect, saying that just see from the Architect Drawing will be more than enough.
on which direction will get the best SUN LIGHT.... i told them that my area behind got forest... might get shading...

2) Rm350 Per trip whether the PROBLEM IS YOURS or THEM, they will CHARGE you Rm350 in advance, you need to bank-in first then they will arrange them to come over.

3) My Solar Heater got 2 Vent pipe, 1 vent pipe already bengkok 45 degree straight... when i complain to them,
they said must surely my plumber went to touch the vent pipe... then i asked her for F**K my plumber climb to the roof and touch the vent pipe?... then she quickly change saying if like that sure is monkey... WTF i said.. just now said plumber now say MONKEY.. i told her why dont you said HORSE/COW fly up there to bent down the vent pipe?

4)Becoz of this Microsolar my Roof + Plaster Ceiling is leaking... when i said your technician made my plaster ceiling + roofing leaking she said we where got touch your plaster ceiling and where got remove your ROOF.. that time i was dam angry i said F**K you man... if you guys didnt remove the roofing then how da f**k you install the ballvalve thru my roof ? MAGIC is it?

5) last but not least.. i really really 100% would not recommend this company... becoz of the ADMIN attitude... and the charging rm350 per trip/inspection whether is your problem or my problem....

sorry would like to add.. due to Ms Tan from the MicroSolar so clever to twist and turn.. i asked her better be a LAWYER.. since you can twist and turn YOUR WAY...

Sad to see good product with bad management. Have you try go to their office and talk to the higher management?

Sorry to hear that. I used to be a Microsolar customer myself having installed one in my old DS Terrace many years ago.

Yes, even my plumbers know of their reputation about their -twist and turn. I inspect on site while they install and manage to point out broken concrete 35 year old tile during the installation. Thank God I had spare tiles to cover for that. Also I would normally not recommend installing this unless piping in the whole house is very new esp the cold water supply. B'cos mine was old GI and copper (OK), the higher pump pressure although gives strong and nice showers caused my GI to leak after two years. I should have renovated the toilet proper. But back then don't know mah.

Also copper or stainless steel should be used for hot water if installing with Microsolar. Anything like Polypipe or Butyline or whatever that's the same constitution would not be able to withstand the very hot temperature in excess of 80 deg C. They will probably deform and leak.

Would I use them again? Yes but with caveat that all necessary checks and qualifications in plumbing pipes and roofing load spec correctly. They have multiple installers and quality in installing varies between them. Otherwise, I would go with air-cond water heaters.

do u have any photos to share bro?

In my opinion, i would get the product from a reputable dealer and if the dealer lodge the complain for you, the manufacturer will definitely rectify the problem. Eg: I sell more than 100 units solar per year, if my supplier did not provide us with good customer service, i will definitely change to a different brand and they will be losing a lot of biz.

We used to import goods from china but the product quality is always different from what we ordered and after sales service was bad (no reject and no refund), that is why we rather pay more now and get it from reliable brands and they will provide us the after sales service, if goods are not in good condition, we just reject back to them and get a new one replaced within days.

Unfortunately, mircosolar do not have any dealers, therefore u can only purchase from Ms Tan.

What is the different between penal vs tube type?
Google around some review said tube type will provide better and faster to heat up the water. even cloudy day also no issue to get hot water. is that true?

dunno i am using a gas heater for the house. can even set the temp to whatever you like so its never too hot. cost is low (around 1600+ and gas) and it can supply as much hot water as you have gas available wink.gif one cylinder can last very long too (for us around 2mths for the water heater alone). seems much cheaper than solar water heater to me.

1st time heard about this... can you describe more on cost, installation an etc.? Tq

A couple of my friends are using SUMMER solarwater heaters. One of them said that, in the few years that he's used it, he hardly has to turn on the backup (electricity).

I'm also considering SUMMER but need to do more research. For example, is panel or tube better more suitable for our weather (considering the haze and, occasional torrential rain). Is direct or indirect heating more efficient etc etc. If anyone can clarify these, I'd be most grateful smile.gif Thank you!

I'm stuck in between Summer or Solarwave.

Solarwave seems different (newer?) technology than Microsolar. They claim that there is no pressured water tank up there and therefore no leakage problem. Anyone can confirm this?

I had a Power Solar in my old house. It was great in the beginning. After 4-5 years of use, noticed the water not as hot as before. Now I was told this company has closed shop and the partners setup new shop / new brand.

Summer is a reliable brand I believe. But not sure if the water temperature will drop after few years of use like Power Solar. That's why I'm considering Solarwave (not cheap too).

Many sales persons like to tell me that the tube type will leak and cost for replacement is high. Just wondering if any users here experienced that before?
