Er, before I post it up. Any improvements after updating the dashboard?

i not yet flash, just downloading it now,.. will know shortly later on,.. but n my area i doubt there will be any different since most modem die in fucntioning .//

well u can try to speedtest or download, then see is there any different on the speed ...

wen i use Sonyericsson phone, if i select usb option via phone then i will direct have a Local area connection pop up and auto connect, this LAC provide a 10Mbps driver for the link,. but when i connect via dial up setup, the Link speed is vary from time to time,.. and dial up setup dialer i can feel a little slow in speed compare to the LAC

really thanking u for this..
now after updating the dashboard(mobile partner) connection become stable..
now uptime is 14hrs and counting.. really2 big improvement from 2-3hours using old mobile partner b4..

and i think that modem setup instead of local area network is why i didnt get good speed when using windows dialer and WMCONN before.. dunno maybe other factors involved..

still didnt know if this newer dashboard for e173 have auto reconnect or not cause still didnt dc yet..
cant see any option for auto reconnect in the setting..

speedtest with SE W705 + TL-MR3420

most e1762 which facing DC issues after a few minutes or a few hours will become much much much more stable after installing the firmware n dashboard update to at least this version

the greendashboard v16 is an optional upgrade... no effect on modem stability n performance in my long long experience on all 3 e1762 that i have right now

the green v16 dashboard has an online update feature to update the dashboard... but no new updates from maxis for now n i have confirm on twitter that the v16 dashboard is the latest version...

yes... the v16 dashboard cannot set other DNS.. it will revert back to default instantly.. its a bug i think... you can use other DNS on the v11 dashboard that comes with the R2 zip files

if i want to use other DNS i will set the DNS on my TP Link router n plug the modem... the connection will use the DNS i set on the router

mobile broadband connection/LAN .. there is no difference in my experience

another tips... if you want to complaint on maxis broadband performance.. the fastest most critical info that they want is this screenshot (diagnostic>WAN status screenshot) and dont erase anything..

from here they will know which tower exact location you have the problem and they revert back to you usually in 2 working days...

here is my example where i complaint fast speed (2mbps average but superbad ping n major packet loss at my home)


the next day they revert back the status saying that the tower really having a problem.. after 5 days.. its fixed!

Not much difference

well, just did the test,

after i flash my E1762, it able to get HSPA signal inside my house, wow amazing,...
even i try so many thing it won't work, as soon as i finish flash it, i plug it in my TL-MR3420 router

and speedtest i try at other webites like p1

E1762 + TL-MR3420

first time speed quite good,

after i flash my signal is stable and stay around 61~64%,.. wow finally i can learn like fruitie, places it anywhere in my room next to my pc,.

sure after u flash still can use,. why not? onlythe firmware is different and dashboard,. but when u plug it in router,. router can still recognize it for sure,..

and process of flashing it so fast either, take less than5 min ( as i use window xp to flash it )

signal show on router super stable for the last 20 min,..

Added on November 15, 2011, 4:09 pmafter u flash it, it might take shorter time for ur router to dial the connection with your E1762,. nothing to lose,. if u dont like it u can always flash it back to the version u have now,.. just download the dc-file for your version and laos the version that posted here by cruxidex. then after u try, it no different u can either leave it or flash it back to your version now,..

wat is your dashboard version now ?

and wat is your e1762 firmware version now?

can u pls link which file to DL for the dashboard and FW as there are a few files to choose

yea i follow the step above,. and all done perfectly, less than 5 min needed for flashing my E1762 and now it work perfectly inside my house any corner in my room,.
