Hmm... weird.. well, i have no knowledge on scissor switch, and they are not mechanical switch too.  sad.gif
yeah, thanks, i just contacted him. this afternoon i contacted ssyycc, but he rejected. i wonder maybe there's too much conspiracy and competitor that cause them to very much restrict all the information and does not even sell separated stuff. i only pmed to ask can sell some of his techflex sleeves.

If all is not possible, i'll just import from korea or ebay. those stuff are goddamnit cheap and i like the sleeving design too, like RM5 and so on.

Anyway, here's a update from KBC-AiKB newest keyboard design using their latest Chameleon Keyboard Controller.

LOL, they lending the keycaps from the Devlin MINI keyboard... whistling.gif
BTW, it do looks better after being rearranged. The original layout is simply too compacted and hardly enjoyable.

Shopping for a decent keyboard, found this thread..

Any recommendations for a keyboard in budget range of RM300 or less..

Can't justify myself to purchase a keyboard for RM400+...

Where can I try / feel these expensive keyboard in stores around Klang Valley..

Thanks
*
RM300 or less probably can't get any decent Mech KB.
Most mech keyboard below RM300 is either not full layout(TKL, mini 60%), not 1st hand, not Cherry MX switch or not of decent/top-notch quality(brand).

BTW, if you insist on the budget,
Razer BW Expert(not really recommended except you are extremely tight on budget or you want to do some modding in future).
KBC Poker, some google will tell you fully what it is.
Ducky 10XX series from global.PChome(also not the best choice)
China brand such as Noppoo, Rapoo, PLU, Flashget, Keycool and many more.

I didn't know that O2jam still exist. Anyway would like to know if translucent double shot ever exist? I would like to buy some keycaps to replace A-Z. Using ducky shine.
*
Exist, but it already extinct and it will cost your arms and legs head to get them as they are real quality + vintage stuffs from DECK.

The best chance is to get something like this. A 2piece design translucent keycap. Transparent stem(and font) doubleshot into black ABS.
user posted image

EDIT: Oh wai, seems like doubleshot of translucent white + black ABS still cant achieve BL... May be 2 piece design is the only/best option... whistling.gif

here's a fastest way, engraved the keycaps, fill the gap with ABS(mixed with phosphors)

And here, you have a cool looking keycap that doesn't even need LED to have backlit feature.

LOL, you mean this one?

BTW, to those who want to harvest BL keycaps(or want a BL keyboard?), here is quite a good choice. 2nd hand TG3(quite well-known for a 2nd hand BL keyboard). Not the cheapest I had see (sometime much cheaper from EBAY USA) but Taobao is priced like that. Should be less than RM150 shipped.

@Clyclone

I found a shop(Taobao) that really carry lots of mech kb accessories(at quite cheap price too), may be you can pay a visit to there?
http://njqihangshuma.taobao.com/?spm=11041...-9T8Zl.2-4h9Y3r

Poison include, 100 "O"rings for 10RMB(if can found at local may be cheaper...), Stabilizer mod stem(not sure if it same with this(from WASDkeyboard)) and hell lots(i mean real LOTS!!!) of super poisonous metal(titanium and aluminium) keycaps(though not as thick as imsto one, it is much cheaper and the finish is so shiny drool.gif )....

Doubleshot = the use of two different colour plastic to mold a keycap.

If they are the same colour, it would be a normal(singleshot) keycap.

Most o-rings in Taobao are of the Buna-N 70A variant. Since there has not been much research into this on the Chinese side, I'd assume that these are the 70A variant as well.
Super shiny metal keycaps contain Lead. Also, they might oxidize very soon, unlike the Titanium ones. They are made by a shop called MKC.
Stabilizers are sold in the Guangdong shops as well. 10 Pairs for 10 RMB, plus I know another guy that can source it from PLU, which looks more like costar ones. Keycool's version looks a bit different.

I think I just blew your bubble. Sorry.

Actually, the guangdong shop has cheaper keycool parts compared to this.
Plus the dyesub KBC keycaps are slightly expensive than imsto ones.
*
Okay.jpg cry.gif
Seems like the only chance is to source/made them(metal keycaps) locally...

*
Ok, back on topic. I wonder how do they made the BL PBT keycaps(can be seen from GH) hmm.gif
Most BL keycaps are translucent plastic. Except they gonna pierce through all of the keys? shocking.gif

These keys are dye sublimated, that means they are PBT.
Dye is sublimated onto the translucent area, leaving the legends free from the dye.

*
Do note that different rows of keys are having different height(the most commonly saw one are DSC, R4 for Funtions and numbers rows, followed by R3, R2 and R1). Also, do note that different OEM may also vary a little in term of keycaps profile(height).

DSC?
Those pictures.from SP , height and profile are different from all original keycaps.

Not all brands follow the profile from top to.bottom row R1 to R4.

Some starts from the bottom IIRC
*
Most modern board do follow the above standard, just that they may vary a little in term of heights.
E.g: Cherry and KBC

Cheaper in Taiwan. whistling.gif

BTW @storm88

That is a nice board there. Simple and low profile yet sophisticated looks. Now what lack is a better quality/durability keycaps.

Aluminium case with lasered POM

BTW, the fonts seems like too big for a lasered keycaps?

Also, is it just me or the keyboard feel very flat, with no profile like normal cherry?

BTW, really interested to get/try a real Cherry KB from Cherry themself. wink.gif
May be the G80-3800? Anyone know where to source them?

it should be around the same price compare to TW and Local, isnt it?

for Ducky keycaps, i think it's somehow still at moderate level la. If compare it directly to POM/PBT material of Cherry, then speechless lor smile.gif

Yay. i like that style. clean and simple
*
Chill bro, not try to implying that local one is expensive or what. Ducky is from Taiwan and thus it is reasonable for them to be cheaper(a little, not much actually) in Taiwan. Also, I know that importing goods will be more expensive(shipping and so) and it is normal for stuffs to be more expensive in Malaysia... wink.gif

guys, where is filco keyboard assembled and around what price are they on now?
i've heard some rumours filco and ducky manufactured from the same factory?
*
They both made in Taiwan. But from different OEM.
Filco is japan brand and design but manufactured by Costar in Taiwan. Can say is the top notch quality you can get in Cherry Mech KB.
Ducky is Taiwan brand and manufactured by taiwan OEM(not sure but somehow they are related to KBC China). Quality is acceptable but the QC is kind of inferior to FILCO for sure.

I not sure if Leopold is also made by Costar but CM Storm(yeah, the famous cooling product brand) and Rosewill is made by Costar. They are a good option if you can afford the high price tag of FILCO. Though, some ppl do claim that even they are from same OEM, their QC standard are still below FILCO(thus higher RMA rate).

So my current AI-2 that i bought locally doesn't comes with them since its limited edition as well, shall i claim it from you?

EDIT, found something interesting, read link below for more info.

http://www.inpad.com.tw/goods.php?act=view&no=4072
Whether they are having promotion or what so, i not sure about it, things behind the entertainment world is very very dark, if you get what i meant.

So you guys do the judgement har, i don't want talk too much.  notworthy.gif

Wah, just realise that their Cherry G80-3000, Xarmor U9 and Das are f***ing cheap. shocking.gif

P/S: Also, the Ozone(rebranded TT Meka?) is also quite attractive the price(if the quality is same as TT Meka).
