FILCOs from China distributor does not have additional WASD + keypuller, unless it is of the models that is supposed to come with one, like the Linear R, Ninja, etc.
This is given by FILCO japan, like Edifier said.

Whatever that is given for other models is from the initiative of the seller.

I'm not sure but it looks like everyone's Filco from overseas has keycaps/key puller but not those distributed by Inter-Asia locally smile.gif These keyboards are really expensive and it would be nice that these accessories can be given along just like Ducky keyboards.

Bro Clawhammer,
Regarding the additional Filco accessories issue, if u still got any doubt, i will recommend you email to Filco Japan for clarification, you can check with them what keyboard came with key puller and key cap and what keyboard doesn't came with key puller and key cap.
I hope this can solve your doubt.

would it be possible to do a poll ? in the first post of this thread ?

Since the mechanical club now has quite a few people with mechanical keyboards, do they think it made any difference ?

or did they regret buying it, and would have rather stuck to rubber domes ?

Another interesting poll would be which mech keyboard brand is the best ? hmm.gif

Its was at the Taiwan Exhibition.

This is not an official model by Cherry at this point of time.

G80-3800 will be the next model that will be arriving in 1st quarter of 2012.

Thanks for the clarification... notworthy.gif
you mean the new one with the so-called "low profile" keycaps??? IMHO, that one is very very ugly..... no offense... but really ugly.....

Hey guys I got a few questions.

1. Why are Red switches not so popular?

2. Are the Corsair keyboards sold anywhere here?

And if you could add me into the list of users, I'm using a BlackWidow Expert.

First mechanical keyboard and loving it. Really one of those things where once you use it you don't really want to look back. But now I'm thinking about trying out other switches. Browns feel quite nice but I really want to try Reds.

Also I'm going to get a USB to PS/2 converter since I play rhythm games(O2Jam needs 7 while USB only 6KRO), so wanna ask whether any converter will do or should I watch out for those cheap cheap ones?

Red switch is still quite a new switch(less than 2 years) and thus not all ppl had tried it b4(not more to say not all brand have it). Also, Red may be too soft for newcomer as they tend to bottom out keys even on black. Some ppl prefer switches that give tactile feedback(brown and blue). Last possible reason is some ppl just use what their favorite gamers/brands use, without trying out if others will suit better.

FYI, Razer BW cannot support ps/2 connection. In short, it is stucked at the 2KRO.

Well then good thing I'm considering buying another one then =P

Right now I'm just torn between getting either a Red or Brown(probably Leopold since Cyclone selling it). I keep reading about how Reds are too soft thus can cause inaccuracy which worries me since I play SC2 quite a bit.

1. Red switch are the softest one compare to the other due to its no bump + clicky, people might have hardtime getting used to it, but once you have used to it, its just like touching a boobie.

2. Not sure.

Your last question, no one has tested to use USB to PS/2 converter on black widows yet, so we cannot guarantee you will get the NKRO or not, switching to PS/2 doesn't mean you will get NKRO function, and just go for the cheap one will do.

In fact, brown and red is almost identical in their stiffness(red lighter by a little).

So the only decision to make is either you prefer a linear(no resistance, straight push till the bottom) or a tactile(push half way suddenly feel a bump that also inform you the key is actuating) switch.

if you can't remember all the keys accurately, and pressing might hit other keys without intended.(more of like you you play a Dota, hero invoker where you need to memorize all hero orb combination for skill, where you need to remember their skill key without looking at keyboard. but somethings when you do it at fast paste.

Example of your hitting a key "K", which is quite far from your hand position, when you press "K" in a very fast motion, you might hit the key around "K" and thus causing a input to other key.

Cherry MX Switch just only need 2mm downwards to detect a key input. So softer key do really increase the mistake you make.

Note : please remember Cherry MX switch does not increase inaccuracies, It's more of a "Human error"
