I have a number of furniture from IKEA, so far still going strong. Bed frame, drawer, cabinet, and some shoe rack. So far is good. If their stuff not good, still so many people buy? Is not the best, but some are below average. Need to be selective of their product too.
*
Bro, you are right. I have a shoe cabinet that is still functional over 10 years too. Nowadays I shop my smaller furnishing stuffs from IKEA like rugs, shelves, coat hangers, dry cells, energy saving bulbs. But what I like more is their concept. Great place to see and learn. smile.gif

Ikea is not the best of furniture. Only good thing is that they gave the assurance.  I have a computer table from Ikea which was never fixed though gone through 2 rounds of exchange.  Finally I gave up and live with it.  Don't want to bring there over and over again though they will change without question ask.  A friend of mine also live with some seats cushion problem though undergo change for 2 times.  So nothing is perfect.

Agree with you that nothing is perfect. The most important is the assurance. If you have any problem with the product, if the company is willing to look at it and rectify them, I would be able to accept it.

Company like Lorenzo who sells their product overpriced and yet refuse to rectify their defective product later. That's the ones that we should avoid going to. I really wonder how they do business. Charging customer to rectify their defective product. Shame on them.
I will not buy anything from Lorenzo unless they change their business policy.

Anyone knows where to get this bedframe other than in Harvey Norman's.
http://www.google.com.my/imgres?q=harvey+n...=1t:429,r:0,s:0
They charge Approx RM3k ++ for this frame alone.
Something 90% similar will do also.

I guess it is covered by the leather. Just imaging if without leather, you could see it everywhere drool.gif
The second picture after that could be found on Viva home (I saw it yesterday when doing window shopping)

Just went to Harvey Norman in Citta Mall and saw the bed. It is a PU bed. The bottom is very thin and you can feel the board. Guess it is overpriced but design is quite modern.

Do you expect prices in Harvey Norman to be very competitive?

The only time I buy from there is during warehouse sales and that also you need to be selective. If not careful, also pay higher prices too.

Saw it here in JB at some furniture shop. U can custom made too. But there is disadvantage, your mattress will move around 'coz there is no frame for the mattress to sit on it.

Same here, i bought my diner set from lorenzo which was on sale one. it is a 6 chair piece. but after 1 year, all the PVC leather started to crack and peel. So i complain but because of the set is on sale no warranty one loh. So in order for me to chance the PVC leather, it would cost me RM80 per chair. *sigh* RM80 x 6, = RM480.

anyone here got suggestion on anywhere to change the cover or not ah? I think i dont want change PVC leather because dont last one. Best change to a fabric?

Oh, you bought the dinning set from Lorenzo? Thought it was supposed to be leather? Leather should be lasting, what.... whistling.gif
How come can crack after one year? Even those cheap PVC will last longer than that...

I think you are referring to PU material. PU will give you a leather look but will crack and peel. For this material you need to upholster and change especially in high usage places.

OK I saw went and saw the model @ Homestar Puchong. Its pretty close to Harver Norman's EURO bedframe.
Definately cheaper. Not Bad.
Harvet Norman cost around RM4000 (king Size). This one around RM1750 (kinf size).
Its smaller but then its cheaper. rclxms.gif
