why wanna use only 1 core if we have 2? will this extend the battery life more?

Me too move fr siyah to speedmod k2-16. It seem spdmod is smoother on my s2 than siyah2. 1b16 myb cuz i dabble w siyah governor n not all is stable. Siyah good is larger scaling upto 1600mhz n crazily more governor.

Spdmod only normal, n im on ondemand but can't deny d stability n smoothness that rivals siyah if not slightly psychologically better lol but i think its not hurt to try both kernal chg very convenient n too fast n no data cleaning lol.way easier than chging roms. I wil stay spdmod since no plan do oclcking but keepin an eye on

When unneeded, 1cn sleep n save on fuel or juice, sure will be more power efficiency.. Only challenge is i believe how fast it can wake d other core fr sleep, like interactiveX sorta thing... N how stable.. Since im sure exynos doesnt hv d intel knwledge or does it? Lol

Ps/my market 3.3.11stil problematic cant download apps due to freezing downloading. I c google tis is pervasive problm but none tip can solve mine yet

Hehe you should try with 1 core and see how smooth it is. Actually this help gokhan make an important discovery. When people start reporting 1 core is smoother, including myself (previously running smartassV2 or lulzactive make my ADW app drawer lag, with 1 core it is smoother meaning 0 lag), gokhan is thinking that the second core is kicking in too much. He have increase the value from 50 to 70 (i think this is cpu load) before the second core start kicking in in Beta 6. Also he remove the need for the second core to run when screen turn on. It really makes a difference.

Theoretically yes. But as you know I am not after battery life, I want a smooth and fast device. Kinda weird that the device is smoother on 1 core than 2 core. But gokhan seems to have figured it out why.

not so smooth for me to. won't notify me on any update

Is ok. I probably feel like u. Im stil find it hard to believe typing from s2 still so difficul which im doing so lotsa mistakes too, i use almost all swiftkey x suggestion correction. Nthg can compare to pc/notebook. Worst thing is i dont got big hands/fingers.. I cant imagine those bigger ones

But thts just my hunch. .multitasking n video convertion n graphic work only benefit d most fr multicores.the best thing is tht it definitely more power efficient, just like why ulv laptop can powerboost to very high oc n can 1 core deep sleep when not needed e.g. 2nd gen intel 1.3 oc to 2ghz n last 10hrs cuz d speedstep tech get so improved already. Tis myb cn really help on batt life if they can write the relevant app lol

i'm using siyah 2.1.1, seems to be ok. battery drain a lot less than dk 2.1. will try speedmod later on. don't want to try galaxy note a?

Its smoother because the second core was kicking in too often.

guys i am planing to get myself the extended samsung battery but i have a few question to those of you whom already own it.

1.How much is the different between the original battery and the extended battery in usage time? for example with my usage my phone can only last up to 12 to 16 hours. This include browsing, call, message, game and etc.

2. I am currently using SGP ultra case and will it be a problem if i use the extended battery with this case? i am will it fit in?

anyone successfully play a 720p MKV with dts audio in s2 without prob?

so far MX Video Player able to play it smoothly with HW decoding for video and SW decoding for audio. But as soon as you try to fast forward the movie.. then is either the sound is gone or video shutter. basically it means u have to finish the movie in 1 seating.

SW decoding for both video and audio don't have such problem, but the playback is a bit laggy.
