ok tqvm~~ill try it again but how should i know the latest MIUI stock kernel is patched didle?~~

so ill flash CWM,50mb LMK,3G,bin,libsqlite > if i encounter bootloop, then flash screenstate~~am i right?
*
I'm not sure. I'm not using MIUI. You should not flash screenstate_scaling if you believe that your kernel has the latest didle patch.

If you flash Neo 18, you should not flash screenstate_scaling. It'll hang at boot.

Hmm, phone lagging in the background? It can happen sometimes when a large data transfer is happening and it completely freezes the phone for a few seconds.

Edited: reinstall thunderbolt without the 3g add on, wifi is working as usua;

Weird. I don't think that's a ThunderBolt! issue, however only you are getting this. :S

QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Nov 22 2011, 01:10 AM)
nope, I'm sure it's not lagging in the background, it's completely shut offed, i have to plug in my charger, then only can on, then can see samsung logo bootscreen, have to enter sim card pin code, confirm it's a shut down

Added on November 22, 2011, 1:32 amjust finished download and playing Gun Bros, very very satisfy! nice game! and I'm really really loving SGS right now! when playing Gun Bros, there's just a bit minor lag at menu screen there or when buying weapons, but in game, 0% lag!!!! totally no lag! not even a bit!!!
*
Weird also, no one reported this. I'm hedging on it being an app causing the phone to restart.

Flash DXJV9 again in Odin. You'll lose all the data you have in your phone. Sdcard will be intact though.

Put PDA, Phone, CSC and repartition. Flash.

No, kies won't recognize your phone at this point. Odin is easy to use. Just follow the guide in the first page.

because I didnt removed some files from system, system not enough storage, and hence cant convert to ext4, then i lose root permission, then tried flashing back semaphore, galaxian and chainfire kernel, in About Phone, the name changed, but still no root permission, now just finished reflashed back XXJVT and semaphore, working back again, now not planning to change to ext4 liao, actually my phone is quite fast edi, it's just that I'm greedy, want change to ext 4, now not dare liao  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

If you still have root, just use Titanium Backup to remove some apps like Aldiko or Allshare.

It's not compatible. Either or. Can't put two of them together as the settings will clash.

Does Fugumod implement the latest didle patch? If yes, don't flash screenstate_scaling.

i flashed fugumod 1980 without screenstate_scaling~~everythin seems ok~~checked in /system/etc/init.d/ and found S70darky_zipalign & S98system_tweak~~

so everthin should be ok rite?~~
*
Yup smile.gif

If you're adventurous, you can flash screenstate_scaling and if it hangs at boot, you can still flash the restore pack from recovery (recovery will still work).

For VM scaling actually. Governor scaling is disabled. VM scaling saves battery and improves a bit of performance.

FYI: Quadrant is useless. It's best to measure performance from gaming and/or smoothness of the phone.

And 1.3GHz might work now, but it can hang later onwards. Depends on the temperature of your phone. Best if you try to stress test your phone before setting it permanently, i.e. run Rock Player with RMVB using software decoding for 10mins.

Check my Android Optimization Tips for "undervolting".

I don't get it, UV means setting it to lower frequency, I understand that, but how to run a stress test?
*
UV means undervolting. When you undervolt and overclock, you need to stress test it. Don't save the 1.3GHz setting at boot first.

Load it up and stress test it a bit until you're satisfied that it's stable.

I've already explained how to stress test it. Load up Rock Player, play an RMVB using software decoding for 10mins.

hopefully they're able to port a real stable "working-as-should" ICS. From what I see.. some functions though successfully ported, has some drawbacks.  Take the hardware acceleration for example.

Yeah, I have to do that tongue.gif

No worries, I'll always come up at the top given time wink.gif
