QUOTE(mendoksei @ Nov 13 2011, 11:00 PM)
I understand why the error occurred, so how do i get the sqlite_optimise to work without error?
edited: or do u mean, even though there is error, the sqlite_optimise script already performed what it should performed?
*
Yup, the latter. It erroring out doesn't mean it's not optimizing the *.db files. It just means its skipping those that have errors.

QUOTE(fAr3z @ Nov 13 2011, 11:05 PM)
will try the 50MB  rclxms.gif
just want to clarify this first, do i need to follow all instructions if i'm on the miui rom with talon kernel?
or i can just start with step 5?

Instructions
1. Copy the CWM zip to your internal sdcard
2. Mount /data and /system in CWM (IMPORTANT!)
3. Install using CWM
4. Wait for bootup
5. Open up Script Manager and launch /sdcard/bolt_scripts/remount_{*} as Root and as Boot. This is done because on Voodoo lagfix, Voodoo will remount the partitions again later after init.d scripts finished launching hence reverting the mounts to stock lagfix mounts. The script then has to be launched only after the Android OS has launched. One way is to use Script Manager.
6. Open up Script Manager and launch /sdcard/bolt_scripts/sqlite_optimize. This script can be used arbitrarily at anytime that you want. Don't load it as boot or copy it to init.d though, it'll significantly slow down your boot up as the script is a very long running script.
7. ????
8. PROFIT
*
You're using TalonMTD? You need to install Others version. And yes, you need to follow everything from 1. - 8. Including the ???? and PROFIT tongue.gif

alright, now I understand, but if i may. Those 3 add-on will work as i install it right? no need to use other program to activate it? Thanks again  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
Yes, they'll work right off the bat. Only thing you need to do is to do the Script Manager thingy and confirm that they are installed correctly. Check the OP for the instructions. Just added it a few hours ago.

QUOTE(fAr3z @ Nov 14 2011, 11:42 AM)
already installed it through cwm and run the script but when i try to see whether it is works or not, the result was not same as stated at OP

i can find this file under /system/etc/init.d/:
S70darky_zipalign
S98screenstate_scaling
S98system_tweak

using terminal, when i run this code:
sysctl -a | grep vm

i didn't get this:
dirty_ratio = 90
dirty_background_ratio = 70 (when screen is on)
dirty_background_ratio = 55 (when screen is off)
vfs_cache_pressure = 1 (when screen is on)
vfs_cache_pressure = 20 (when screen is off)

same goes to this code:
getprop | grep MEM

the value is not same as this:
[ro.FOREGROUND_APP_ADJ]: [0]
[ro.VISIBLE_APP_ADJ]: [1]
[ro.PERCEPTIBLE_APP_ADJ]: [2]
[ro.HEAVY_WEIGHT_APP_ADJ]: [4]
[ro.SECONDARY_SERVER_ADJ]: [5]
[ro.BACKUP_APP_ADJ]: [6]
[ro.HOME_APP_ADJ]: [3]
[ro.HIDDEN_APP_MIN_ADJ]: [7]
[ro.EMPTY_APP_ADJ]: [15]

how did i conclude this?its not working or i've done it in a wrong way?
wow,can stand up to 1 days?????
how did u do that bro?
any tweaks?
*
It was a typo. It should be getprop | grep ADJ.

And what did you get?

This?
dirty_ratio = 90
dirty_background_ratio = 70
vfs_cache_pressure = 1

Flashing with Odin will wipe everything. Best if you use Titanium Backup and restore it one by one.

QUOTE(fAr3z @ Nov 14 2011, 02:28 PM)
yup that is what i get..

it means thunderbolt! was applied successfully or not?
*
Yup. v1.9.2 has a different value. Check the OP again.

QUOTE(isaac225 @ Nov 14 2011, 07:09 PM)
can i just flash to stock xxjvt and talon kernel only???will it solve the lag prob and increase the battery life??or is a must to make the thunderbolt tweak??how long can stand the battery life after make thunderbolt tweak??

Added on November 14, 2011, 7:10 pm
but froyo is quite battery consume right..???
*
You can flash whatever you want, but the best is still ThunderBolt! + TalonDev.

After ThunderBolt! tweak, my battery lasts at least 40 hours with ~3.5 hours of display time.

Yeah, leading to the next versions, it's harder to outperform what I've already done until I find more creative ways tongue.gif

What's r18? You should flash the main ThunderBolt! and then the addons.

It's a bug with CM7. Not a ThunderBolt! bug. I've put the warning in the OP at two places.

which version of jvx got strongest wifi strength? my wifi strgth is so damn weak/slow. vmad.gif

Can anyone please reply me? Im so in need for help. Fyi, im staying in gombak area...
*

The wifi signal strength status bar might be low but the actual strength remain unchanged from ROM to ROM since Froyo. Gingerbread changed the ratio a bit and it seemed like the strength is low, but connection appears to be as rock solid as Froyo's.

Is it xxjvt? It should be the same rite? It kept dropping wifi and the Market was extremely slow. I can't even update my apps. When I switched back to 2.3.3 DXJV9 the wifi was stable and I managed to download all updates with no problems.
*
The wifi dropping off is a known issue. Need to change your router settings lease time to something that is not forever (i.e. 24hours). Setting a static IP on your phone helps too.

Used PIT512 to flash.

I was next to my wifi point all night but still dropped wifi connection.

No point to set static IP as it would be a hassle to always need to 'un-static IP' my phone everytime I need to connect to other wifi networks. My wifi router is 24/7.
*
Yeah, it's a bug with the ROM. Workaround is to set either static IP or put the lease time to something that is not forever in your router.

Pikachu, playing Asphalt 6 here. Found out at the end it'll get REAL LAGGY. then hang, force close, everything's like not enuf ram. not sure if this is Gingerbread's problem or Thunderbolt hmm.gif
*
Yup, should be the CFS issue. I'll release another version that has a less aggressive CFS in a few hours. Sorry about that.

QUOTE(alucard_my @ Nov 17 2011, 10:26 PM)
Reflashed to xxjvt with csc home whatever.

Thought would fix the wifi drop issue but still remained the same. It will drop wifi and connect to 3G and then reconnect to wifi. Googled it and seems that there are a lot of people suffering the same.
*
As I've mentioned in the last 2 or more posts. The wifi issue is a known issue. Just do either of this:

- Remove address reservation setting AND/OR
- Don't see lease time to forever AND/OR
- Set a static IP

Haha..just trying whatever I can to solve the wifi thingy.

Router has always been on forever. On static IP now and it seems that even on static IP i get disconection. While the wifi icon would still be there, there would be no access to the internet. Sad..
*
Hmm, yes, I know router has been that way. It's a bug that Samsung "included" in the latest ROM. You can work around it with setting the lease time to something other than forever, like 24 hours.

yo pika,

I was using ur script before i install Neo 18 kernel and it boot alright. Do i still need to delete the file and recompile it and reinstall thunderbolt? thanks

If it boots alright, that means you're not on a kernel that implemented the new didle patch. Don't need to do anything from there.

CM7/MIUI is Ext4 only. No RFS support. RFS is a proprietary FS from Samsung.

Speedmod is still using Samsung ROM. MIUI and CM7 is based on Cyanogenmod ROMs that are not Samsung stock ROMs. Only Samsung stock ROMs have RFS support. Yes, you'll be in MTD which is yafffs2 + ext4 partitions. You can check with "mount" without the quotes in your Terminal Emulator.
