Haiyaaaa my cat's got fleas on her again.
I showered her on Friday and now I just pinched out 2 live fleas from her fur.

I applied Advantage 2 weeks back. And it worked all till last night. I had some balance of my Frontline spray that I sprayed around her neck and shoulder area.

I'm afraid because I keep feeding the stray cats, I might be carrying up the fleas to my home sad.gif

Shampoo & spray doesn't work affectively in getting rid of the fleas. This is my conclusion after using two type of shampoos (regular & flea control) & two bottles (different brands) of spray. Use flea & tick drops instead.

Keep feeding the stray cats. thumbup.gif

I used Advantage drops 2 weeks back. They worked very well till I showered her on Friday.
Saturday night I saw got 1 flea on her but couldn't take it out.

Today I saw got 2, so pulled them out and crushed them. I read that Advantage drops are not recommended to be used twice within the space of 2-3 weeks so I used a little remainder of the Frontline spray that I had previously bought to spray my carpets to spray on my cat.

The strays I still feed them, but try to avoid contact. Usually I put food them wait for them to come then play2 a bit lol but nowadays I put food then go back home.
Thing is, yesterday morning I saw one of the cats looking sick, he had cat flu. I brought him to the vet for examination and injections. I'm not sure if I could have carried a few fleas home sweat.gif

Susah la dealing with fleas. Even this time there aren't many, just 2-3. Didn't spot any new ones since this evening yet.

Yeah 2 weeks back I bought frontline and sprayed over the carpets and beds.
Also changed bedsheets and vacuumed all carpets and mats.

Did the same today. So far no fleas on her yet.
Perhaps I need to try to avoid contact with the stray cats, just put food and run away laugh.gif

DO the stray cats come that close? It may be a good idea to move their food further away.

I read online that you should consider trying diatomaceous soil.

Thank you.

Will try DE soon, found 2 sellers on LYN.
Hopefully this works. Can't be spraying Frontline on a weekly basis on my carpets, too expensive and the smell is intolerable sweat.gif

I think the cat is just trying to hide his possession so other people/cats don't get to it.

Bought DE, sprayed over my carpets and the floor on Thursday.
Initially thought 500g won't be enough so I bought 1kg.

After spraying almost my entire house, I think I have 700g left? laugh.gif

But that stuff is not easy to remove from carpets. I have 2 carpets. I first swept them kaw2 to agitate those parasites then put powder, sprayed and covered every inch, then rolled them up and stored. Changed all comforters and bedsheets, before placing new bedsheets, i sprinkled sufficient powder onto each bed protector and then only put new sheets on. Sprayed powder onto the floor, the places my cat usually hangs out, even on her bed and toys. Dusted some powder onto her too laugh.gif

The following day, after 24 hours - Took the carpets to the laundry to be washed lol not easy removing the powder from carpets. I think I put too much.
Then proceeded with vacuuming and mopping the house.

So far okay la, I hope it stays that way. My cat seems clean too. No side effect to the powder. Despite powdering her, she looks pretty clean. I might consider putting the powder on her 2-3 days post shower.

hello cat lovers,

need some help here. i feed my cats hill's science plan optimal care and so far they are loving it. i know there are better brands but currently i am on a budget. however today, the vet and pet shop that i buy them from said that the cat food is no longer available. being replaced with some other taste/version but way more expensive.

i am in jb and wondering if any of you guys outside jb can see if this brand still on sale at your place. i can see that they are still available online on hill's website. or at least there are no news that this particular brand is no longer being produced.

not anymore, anywhere. science plan was called off (in malaysia) because it contained animal fat which allegedly to be of swine origin. the expensive ones u saw, was of the prescription diet range.
