Just bought SmartSift 2 weeks back. Easy and awesome.

But my cat doesn't know how the door works.
So if I try to close the door and let it be, he will just stand in front of it and meow really loud.
I even tap the door to make it swing (to give hint), but end up my cat tapping it too (to play!).

When I let the door wide open, my cat will use it easily but if i put down the door during his business, he'll freaked out and jump straight out (even with the poop hanging).
I guess my cat is claustrophobic. Haih

I bought SmartSift for 2 reasons; easy maintenance and odour.
But with the door wide open, i cannot achieve the latter part. cry.gif

Any tips? biggrin.gif

mine is quite aggresive. i managed to trim her claws coz she will be an indoor cat and her scratches make me bleed the most (we have a balcony full of greenery planted on the rock-laid balcony floor if she wants to go outside). This kitten is found from outside, so spaying and deworming has not been done yet. can i go to SPCA for spaying and deworming? toys didn't work: she likes my moving feet more.
this is the cat.

Personally, getting another cat with the same age is the best option.
If you're up for it. biggrin.gif

Hey guys, I wanna ask.
Are there any sprays out there that would prevent my cat from scratching a particular place? She seems to like scratching one side of my living room sofa and it's driving my mom nuts.
*
I've seen a lot of sprays for this but never bought it before.
Cause I bought a lot of catnip, but nothing happen to my cat. biggrin.gif
I just use double tape.

But my cat damn smart now.
Before he scratch, he bite off the double tape (I love to see he struggles when removing the tape from his mouth) and then scratch sweat.gif

hi there. i just adopt a cat and wanted to bring it to vet clinic around ampang for dewormed, vaccinate all that. So can u guys provide me any info about a good vet clinic around ampang and how much it costs? Thx a lot
*
Hi.

Have you considered SPCA? It's in Ampang area.
I vaccinated and neutered my cat there.
Cost me less then RM100 (Sorry forgot the exact price).

I forgot the name of this 24 hour vet clinic in Ampang suggested by one of the SPCA's employee.
It's near to Ampang LRT station, right in front of Al-ikhsan.
You can go there too, but no clue on pricing.

hey thanks for replying. I thought I kena ignored already.

I just "cage" her in my room. I never know it is that serious until her wound got infected.

After this, i will cage her until her wound is fully recover.

Her appetite is reduced. But sometimes she licks her own wound. I cant always watch on her 24/7. What if she licks her wound when im not around  rclxub.gif

Hi.

Have you tried putting an E-collar to your cat?
Problem with licking is that, it doesnt allow the wound to dry quick enough to avoid any infections.
I've experienced this once and putting a collar allows the wound to dry quicker.

The vet charge me teruk for the collar. it looks like a very old collar that is used for few times and then charged me rm13 with it. plus abscess cleaning with GA around rm130. so total damage 143.

RM143 sweat.gif
Try a DIY E-collar. You can find it on youtube.
I combined 3 lamination sheets and made an E-collar.
Quite effective but need to clean (or if you rajin make a new one tongue.gif ) daily.

Good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

That shame face tho biggrin.gif

I've tried using cardboard once but my cat go to his water bowl and rub it until it's soft enough to tear apart.
That's why i changed to lamination sheets. biggrin.gif

Bought DE, sprayed over my carpets and the floor on Thursday.
Initially thought 500g won't be enough so I bought 1kg.

After spraying almost my entire house, I think I have 700g left? laugh.gif

But that stuff is not easy to remove from carpets. I have 2 carpets. I first swept them kaw2 to agitate those parasites then put powder, sprayed and covered every inch, then rolled them up and stored. Changed all comforters and bedsheets, before placing new bedsheets, i sprinkled sufficient powder onto each bed protector and then only put new sheets on. Sprayed powder onto the floor, the places my cat usually hangs out, even on her bed and toys. Dusted some powder onto her too laugh.gif

The following day, after 24 hours - Took the carpets to the laundry to be washed lol not easy removing the powder from carpets. I think I put too much.
Then proceeded with vacuuming and mopping the house.

So far okay la, I hope it stays that way. My cat seems clean too. No side effect to the powder. Despite powdering her, she looks pretty clean. I might consider putting the powder on her 2-3 days post shower.

maybe ur cats no like food u give them? try change brand/flavour? if wanna feed them wet food, just do it once a week.
*
I've been changing brands a lot actually.
The problem is i think they hated the 'hard' food. sweat.gif

Cause when I feed them wet food, eat like no tomorrow. biggrin.gif

Any reason on once a week only?

I saw a lot of cat owners here suggested blackwood.
Went for cat food shopping yesterday but couldn't find any.
End up buying nutrience.

Any place that sell blackwood in Bangi/Ampang/Sepang?

Edit: Has anyone bought from http://www.petsfood.com.my/ before?

Thanks!
