I tried it only once when I first updated and it worked then. I will test it again for you when I get home later.

just tried, its working fine. maybe you could try restoring your phone top pre-tango and then updating again..or it could be your data connection?

Hi Lumias,

I'm Lumia 710 user; really frustrated with the GPS issue since day one. After reading through the solution suggested in this forum & nokia forum, i try my luck sent it to be fix at NCC @ Plaza Berjaya... untill today, it's my 3rd time went there but sadly facing hesitation from NCC to rectify this GPS issue..

I'd told them to refer my problem on this forum thread & even nokia support discussion forum,.but they seem to ignore it, they said info from the Internet is not reliable shakehead.gif
I'd even told them how GPS works( consist of A-GPS and GPS(phone+satellite) and how it is differ), but the technician said by right A-GPS/data plan is faster than GPS Satellite.
I showed them screenshot provided by dausjkach& GPSinfo app, but then they said it's 3rd party software, not nokia,.so they not entertaining it.
Today, I asked them to have a ride with me to prove them it's not working, but they hesitate because of traffic jam. They said it's fixed & should working fine. Then i prove to them by walking myself around bukit bintang for an hour while navigating through Nokia Drive,.and as expected, it still not fixed since GPSinfo only display A-GPS instead of Full GPS mode. Then, i send it back to NCC & ask them nicely to refer to internet on this issue because I believe this is hardware issue..

I dont know what else to do after this,.any suggestion icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

The first 2 visit, only speak to CS on the desk,.malay girl & then indian guy.
The 3rd visit, the malay CS ask the technician to come out to handle me, which happen to be a chines girl.

bro isone, sorry to hear that from you too but am glad to have a friend/company biggrin.gif biggrin.gif ,

anyway i plan to go there (Nokia care) by the end of my warranty (Apr 13)
anyway since they are dragging this issue so i think better go they earlier.

maybe we could meetup someday, by the way i think you are being too soft to them, we should be nice during the first or second visit but till the third visit problem still not solved?! it's time to our patience/manners. aside sad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

Hi. Does this phone still have the GPS navigation problem as reported here?

=|

Also, does the phone has standalone GPS? Because it was listed as A-GPS, so I wonder if the navigation can be used in standalone mode OR offline without the need for mobile network assist.

I think it will depend on your luck...some people's GPS worked fine out of box..

Yes, the phone (if working properly) supports full GPS in offline mode with Nokia drive.

My patient has shown the result; finally after 3 visit to NCC, they rectified this GPS issue by changing the motherboard smile.gif
Now i can see "Full GPS mode" instead of "A-GPS mode" on GPSinfo apps. My Nokia Drive/Maps can detect my location accurately. My Lumia's back on track smile.gif

I spent 2 weeks in total(4 visit in total). Better you just send it for repairing now instead of waiting until the last minute or else just hope NCC still remember this issue biggrin.gif
