Wrong, you can install apps from zune software via desktop/laptop.

you can only install apps using zune direct through zune marketplace , but you can't download nor install those xap file like ios ipa, android apk did. storing in your pc for future installations.

gava the lumia 800 to my big bro. really didnt suit me. always battery drain faster although updated it to latest firmware and apply power saving. im more prefer to symbian although its going to die in 2016.

Guys, skype is now avaliable in marketplace,can go to download it, but i find 2 thing they microsoft need to fix up,
1. it won't show in our contact who is online, need to manual click on the contac itself to check status
2. Can't add mobile no to existing contact.

No future update?

not possible on lumia now. By the way, pay for it as they work hard to get you these apps.

My Lumia 800 used to receive facebook chat and MSN message. But it is not working now. Any one here having the same problem?

Maybe do direct comparison better. The One X sample looks like lack of proper lighting.

Also, under different hands also different result, hehehe. So, need your detail test on One X camera.

Ahh, I'm contemplating whether to change my S2 to a Lumia 900 when it comes out or not I would like to ask some questions if you don't mind me asking

1)Does this phone have whatsapp, viber and skype? Must you pay and how much is it?
2)What are the disadvantages or the things you hate about this phone comparing with Android or iOS?

1. WhatsApp have. Viber coming soon. Skype have, but currently no background-services. Means cannot receive calls/text when the app is not running. Since Microsoft bought Skype, it's only a matter of time before this functionality arrives, and it will definitely be more awesome than the ones in Android/iOS.

2. Niche apps are still quite limited, for example like a Maybank or GSC app. Though popular apps are mostly there, like FB, WhatsApp etc.

Notification system really needs improvements.

Multitasking can be managed better.

Other than that, WP7 is just awesome. You will just be wowed by the design, both Nokia's hardware design and the buttery-smooth Metro UI is just... artistic. You don't look like a kid playing with silly icons. (Ha! Android and iOS users)
