Put 6 - 8 oz of cold water in your shaker bottle, pour in your oats, let it sit in there for 2 - 3 minutes then put in your protein powder, shake violently as though you are about to cum for 2 minutes, go ahead and enjoy your *shake*.

I'm just going to post it here and hopefully someone can explain this to me. I haven been getting any quality sleep or should I say , getting to sleep even, for almost a month now, it all started when I started lowering my carb intake, initially I was cycling it, now it's just really low each day. I'm sure at least one of us here experiences crazy ass insomnia like me lately. I've been goggling about it and some results say that carb cycling will cause this but some say it doesnt affect it. Does anyone has any thoughts about this?
The last time I slept was 24hours ago. FML |

QUOTE(MelForC3 @ Dec 23 2011, 10:12 AM) lol thats good then... But seriously, i never face this problem before unless i take teh 'c' which is 1-2 years ago, that thing keep me awake for more than 24 hours.. are u gamer? nope. I play the occasional games on my Ipad but that's about it. The weird thing is that my workouts are always at least 8 hours before bedtime(10 - 12) and by 9 I will be very sleepy, but the moment I lay on my bed, Man. I toss and turn ,sleep sideways, sleep rightside up, sleep leftside down, sleep up, sleep down, face up, face down and I can't get no sleep. I fall asleep consistently after 4 or 5 am. And I wake up shit ass early in the morning and I don't do afternoon naps. This shit is killing me. I'm cutting like mad, exhausted and I can barely sleep. zzzz. ZMA's have always been tout to be good to help guys sleep but nothing really supports that claim unless one is deprived in zing, magnesium or vitamin b6 or b 12 i cant remember. Dorian Yates' GH Blast seemed to get very good reviews, and I'm that desperate to be sleeping regularly again that I am actually considering ZMA's and GH Blast. Man this shit suck ass. Not to mention it's really starting to affect my performance during my workouts, I know cutting calories and going low on carbs will take a toll but this insomnia thing is taking a shit load out of me This post has been edited by razorboy: Dec 23 2011, 10:22 AM |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Dec 23 2011, 10:34 AM) Did you try getting off carb cycling to see if your insomnia is caused by it? Would suck to need supps just to get some sleep I did, I ate my carbs at a cup per meal like before I started cutting for about 4 days. Still the same thing. I thought of going to a doctor but I wanna know if anyone had this too and how they dealt with it firstQUOTE(potemkin @ Dec 23 2011, 10:48 AM) I have that issue as well when i was cutting before, lack of carbs seem to affect me. I can't go to sleep easily and could only sleep for 5 hours max. True. I feel like shit right now, I'm going to try and stay up until 9pm tonight and get to bed and hopefully wake in the morning and not at 1am.Still , it could be due to plenty of other reasons , work , shift patterns etc. |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Dec 23 2011, 11:06 AM) Well I have on and off insomnia problems too. What I usually do is to get out of bed and read a book, watch a movie or whatever until I'm sure I can sleep and then go back to bed. Noted bro. Thanks for the advice. You can't let your body be used to tossing and turning in bed, it will just get worse. This definitely helped my problem When you see me posting shit here at ungodly hours you will know I can't sleep lol |

QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Dec 24 2011, 03:02 AM) Networking bro. And to answer your question, I don't count calories. tried but didnt liked it.. I once dieted down to 90kg from 110. But because it was a diet and not a lifestyle, I allowed wanting to "bulk" get the better of me. For the past 6 months I have been trying to "diet" down. But to no avail, because like I said, it's a diet, not a complete lifestyle change. What I believe in, is eat properly. Every meal should consists of good carbs and lean protein and a good source of healthy fats. Depending what one wants to be doing, manipulate the amount of carbs, protein and fats intake. The usual way is to go for 2g of carbs per pound of body weight, 1.5gs of protein per pound of body weight. I bought a measuring scale and I bought a measuring cup, but honestly did it helped? No. Because it is impractical. This is where learning portion control and eye balling your food matters. What I do now is go something like half a cup of carbs and 3/4 of a fist size protein each meal. And remember to cook in bulk. This is the key to having a successful cut/bulk in most cases. Dark light is different, he has his sweet spot, but for us mortals, this is essential. I find that by cooking in bulk, I get more control on what I eat rather than eating out. I may not be in the best shape right now to be giving you cutting advice but I hope I can help shed some light to you. The other regs will critique my comment if necessary so just pay attention. Added on December 24, 2011, 3:55 amThe reason I don't count calories is because I don't want to be over indulging in my food. I tend to eat a lot because I am able to do so almost all the time, so if I ate too much of a portion now, I will think that maybe eating less or starve a little next meal, but I dislike that. I prefer to be constantly feeding my body. I know eating a lot of meals a day can be tedious, and I got critiqued about condoning eating at least 5 meals a day, but I believe in meal frequency and I believe in eating 5 , 6 , 7 or even 8 meals a day if necessary, it's not impossible, I have done it, Am doing it and will always be doing it. Just make sure all those meals are clean, good meals. I am a big eater, and I am an endo and this is how I cut. I am a full time student, I cook myself , occasionally my gf cooks for me but it's all the same. Just eat the necessary food, *portion control, train hard and do your cardio. Cardio may not be necessary but for recovery, your cardiovascular capacity is essential. And I believe in cardio year round. If one's cardiovascular capacity sucks, it will be a little hard to go really intense when one is training, especially legs. And I do believe in recovery increased from doing light cardio, getting the blood flowing. Nothing too much though, 40 minutes is way too much. I may miss out words and points, just ask again. I am typing this 4 in the morning on my phone so I apologise first This post has been edited by razorboy: Dec 24 2011, 06:47 AM |

QUOTE(alexooi17 @ Dec 27 2011, 03:46 PM) Not up it to as much as your protein intake, but slightly more than your current intake. Like 5 to 10 % more. Your body needs to run on something, primary is carbs, but now that you're lowering carbs, giving a slight increase in fat would help it continue running. Fats are very calorie dense, so make sure you half assed-ly up them. Just a tad bit higher. Google and read up a bit on it. Eat carbs burn carbs, eat fat, burn fats. So to speak |

QUOTE(alexooi17 @ Dec 27 2011, 04:18 PM) As in fish oil pills? Not exactly, as in like in your diet. It can make your diet a little bit tastier. Use it to your advantage. But if you want to pop 6 fish oil pills a day, well, I haven heard of that before. But I guess it could be the same, or not. I don't really know about that |

QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ Jan 9 2012, 05:17 PM) ok, then maintaining about 2800kCal a day, is it enough? do I need to decrease the calorie intake on rest days? bulk = Caloric surpluscut = caloric deficit We do not know your maintenance calorie , hence, we can't say if 2800kcal a day is enough for YOU. Everyone is different. You have to know your BMR and LBM. This post has been edited by razorboy: Jan 9 2012, 06:07 PM |
