QUOTE(deShinyDevil @ Jan 2 2012, 10:33 PM) Any1 have any problem logging in Nokia store? I can't log in for the past 3 days. Dunno y. Maybe cause i'm using Nokia drop? Try reinstalling store. QUOTE(Heav3nCl0ud @ Jan 3 2012, 03:32 AM) Hi guys, I'm getting my n8 on thursday. May I know how to hack a n8? As I saw 'hacked n8' required at the front page for those moddings.. And I think that a brand new n8 should come with latest official update right? Hacked N8s can get updates which aren't released yet. Tedious process flashing over and over again, I would say. Step 1 before you start to do anything update your firmware FIRST if there no update try install nokia suite to check if any update is available Step 2 Then hard reset your phone by typing *#7370# Step 3 Then only start transfer your contacts / sms / files / music and etc *i suggest not to restore previous backup to your brand new Nokia N8 if you have any Good luck and congratulations in advance for your new Nokia N8. To understand the true potential of your Nokia N8 here are some of my work using my Nokia N8 without post processing http://www.flickr.com/photos/thenokiagalle...57624928852359/This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jan 3 2012, 04:05 PM

QUOTE(PangurBan @ Jan 3 2012, 03:36 PM) I'm getting one tomorrow. It comes with Symbian 3; not the latest stuff. I got mine that was manufactured 8 months before I got it. So if you get yours now in Jan-2012, you could be potentially be getting a phone that's manufactured in Jun-2011. No Anna in Jun-2011.

Got my phone 1 day early. Following all the steps outlined by aspire2oo6 to update and reset. Taking forever to install the updates. Do I need to take the warranty card to a Nokia service centre to register or can I do it online?

Making the transition from a dinosaur era Nokia to the N8 is not easy! And calling up the Nokia Careline was painful - got a lady with a strong filipino accent, can barely make out what she was saying. Looks like their call centre is in Manila or somewhere else in the Philippines. I've found it much easier to talk to people in call centres located in Bangalore!

The filipina lady said no need to do anything. She knew what she was talking about; asked for my phone number, name etc and then I presumed checked in their database. The problem was my brain had to go into overdrive to make out what she was saying. I think the warranty is automatically activated once you set up the phone. The device info and tools screen on Nokia Suite will tell you if your warranty is valid or not. Added on January 5, 2012, 5:40 pmWhat's a good pdf reader to install for symbian? I tried to instal foxit, but I kept getting the same error message, something about the certificate being invalid. This post has been edited by PangurBan: Jan 5 2012, 05:40 PM
