Its another amazing year and nokia n8 is still the king of camera phone. happy new year.

I don't know how you do it but when I compared my N8 non-macro shots with my friend's SGII, his is actually better. I am only happy with the N8's macro shot.

The other thing I dislike about the N8 is her email handling ability. Every now and then, there are emails that download the header successfully but when you wanted to read the message it contains, it can take a few minutes just to retrieve the message. And it's just some plain text and not big file photos etc.

Wait till you use the official belle on your phone. I am loving belle on the nokia 700 no lag or hang. The email thing it download header only to prevent u to download unnecessary emails. Imagine you are on a data plan of 100mb half of the time it download junk blink of an eye your 100mb is up but by downloading header only u can choose which worth to open and the rest can download when you have wifi access or just delete off. You can change in the email setting to download full mail rather than header only. Imagine at 4R it's already so detail imagine if you enlarge it. Get the point

For me its better that way.

For the camera in 4R size most camera look great when you enlarge for detail that's where n8 unleash it's true potential. Very simple you just ask anyone to recreate this with their mobile phone without additional equipment.

Probably on sgs II the software is newer the photos setting algorithm is better. N8 is already more than 1 year old need tweak and update.

I already set my email to full download. For some emails, they are all downloaded with the header. But for some email with only plain text, it can take a few minutes to retrieve. So who got time to stare at a blank screen for a few minutes just to read some text messages? Multiple that with a few emails and the blank screen staring adds up ridiculously. I have deleted and reinstall the email. Same problem.

Then on sending photos from my N8 via email. A 1.5MB photo can takes 10 or 15 minutes on my Maxis 3G. Don't know that's normal or not.

I do face such similar issue in my nokia n8 Anna when sending out it sometimes take longer. Since I use belle haven't had such issue anymore. Maybe belle will solve your problem.

You said Belle's photos were not as good as Anna's. Has they fixed that problem?

And I presume you set your N8 photo quality to maximum?

I tried is the leak belle yea it's disappointing. I haven't tried the latest belle update or the official but on the nokia 700 is awesome.

Awesome probably because it has a faster processor than the N8. And I will never buy a fixed focus camera because i often take photos of document.

If not for the Nokia's GPS, I would very much want to jump ship already.

The 700 runs at 1GHz ARM11 + 512MB RAM.

The N8 runs at 680Mhz ARM11 + 256MB RAM.

Can already see why Belle is better on the 700.

But still belle is much stable and smoother on nokia n8 even hardware not up to par with nokia 700

which belle cfw are u using for n8. which is best stable release rite now?

I only used the previous leak. Until now never dare to use belle. I stay with anna until official belle is out

imo, I am have use nokia e72, blackberry and currently android (k9 client) so far both bb and android k9 client have something like "compress technology" which make sending and downloading a full email faster.

As for my nokia e72 last time, i do have similar issue slow sending and receiving

Any1 have any problem logging in Nokia store? I can't log in for the past 3 days. Dunno y. Maybe cause i'm using Nokia drop?

As I saw 'hacked n8' required at the front page for those moddings..
And I think that a brand new n8 should come with latest official update right?
