QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 24 2011, 07:34 PM) While I am impressed with my N8's macro shot, the normal shot are not impressive at all. BTW, how to you get the N8 to focus on the spider web?

QUOTE(kae7 @ Dec 9 2011, 11:44 AM) does it related ? I don't even have angry bird in my phone. I don't even have any fancy screen that saps battery power. I use it to make calls, read emails, surf when stuck in airport with nothing to do or book tickets, GPS, camera, view Office document. Listen to music or video may be once a month.

QUOTE(Left4Dead2 @ Dec 13 2011, 11:38 PM) Seeing aspire2oo6 pictures I also went to some photographing session with N8. After playing with the camera for a month already, I found out that N8 only good at macro shot (12MP) and bright color shot (just my opinion) I am getting the same result. Macro's great but the rest not so.

QUOTE(nakTT @ Dec 18 2011, 02:08 AM) I heard that too but it will certainly void our warranty right? Because N8 battery is considered part of the phone (non-user replaceable), it enjoys 12 month warranty just like the phone itself. After 12 months, you have no more warranty to worry about anyway.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Dec 29 2011, 11:55 AM) Yes, using A-GPS will incur data charges unless you have a data plan. It's only 10KB or 10 sen per use. Call charges more than that so IMO, peanut to pay for the conveniences of fast satellite lock.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 1 2012, 12:47 PM) Its another amazing year and nokia n8 is still the king of camera phone. happy new year. I don't know how you do it but when I compared my N8 non-macro shots with my friend's SGII, his is actually better. I am only happy with the N8's macro shot. The other thing I dislike about the N8 is her email handling ability. Every now and then, there are emails that download the header successfully but when you wanted to read the message it contains, it can take a few minutes just to retrieve the message. And it's just some plain text and not big file photos etc.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 1 2012, 01:26 PM) The email thing it download header only to prevent u to download unnecessary emails. Imagine you are on a data plan of 100mb half of the time it download junk blink of an eye your 100mb is up but by downloading header only u can choose which worth to open and the rest can download when you have wifi access or just delete off. You can change in the email setting to download full mail rather than header only. Imagine at 4R it's already so detail imagine if you enlarge it. Get the point I already set my email to full download. For some emails, they are all downloaded with the header. But for some email with only plain text, it can take a few minutes to retrieve. So who got time to stare at a blank screen for a few minutes just to read some text messages? Multiple that with a few emails and the blank screen staring adds up ridiculously. I have deleted and reinstall the email. Same problem. Then on sending photos from my N8 via email. A 1.5MB photo can takes 10 or 15 minutes on my Maxis 3G. Don't know that's normal or not.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 1 2012, 02:10 PM) I do face such similar issue in my nokia n8 Anna when sending out it sometimes take longer. Since I use belle haven't had such issue anymore. Maybe belle will solve your problem. You said Belle's photos were not as good as Anna's. Has they fixed that problem? And I presume you set your N8 photo quality to maximum?

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 1 2012, 02:26 PM) I tried is the leak belle yea it's disappointing. I haven't tried the latest belle update or the official but on the nokia 700 is awesome. Awesome probably because it has a faster processor than the N8. And I will never buy a fixed focus camera because i often take photos of document. If not for the Nokia's GPS, I would very much want to jump ship already.

QUOTE(Heav3nCl0ud @ Jan 3 2012, 03:32 AM) Hi guys, I'm getting my n8 on thursday. May I know how to hack a n8? As I saw 'hacked n8' required at the front page for those moddings.. And I think that a brand new n8 should come with latest official update right? Not necessarily

QUOTE(PangurBan @ Jan 3 2012, 03:36 PM) I'm getting one tomorrow. It comes with Symbian 3; not the latest stuff. I got mine that was manufactured 8 months before I got it. So if you get yours now in Jan-2012, you could be potentially be getting a phone that's manufactured in Jun-2011. No Anna in Jun-2011.

Having sealed battery did have 1 advantage, they can't give you fake battery which can be very common. No matter how good is a phone, once it run out of power, it's merely a dead brick in your hand.

QUOTE(AlanSiew @ Jan 15 2012, 12:03 PM) In Melaka where can get 1.2k N8 ori set? Cause all sell RM1,799 for ori set! Some dealer said those 1.2k is made in china and fake n8,then mean those LYN phone seller who sell 1.2k for n8 ori set also china set? There are many original N8 set that's Made in China. That should not be a surprise because 100% of iPhone 4 are made in China also. Only a con artist will try to sell you the original set at RM1799. Nokia Malaysia only list it for RM1360.

There is this rumor going around for years relating to other products mostly related to clothing but who knows????
In the daytime, the China factory will churn out original product. During the night, the same worker using the same machinery will churn out unauthorized product and sell cheap-cheap. So how can you tell the difference?
So nowadays, who or which dealer you buy it from is even more important.
