Umm, new with Papago X5 here, my phone can't seem to detect satallite, it just keeps showing the satallite icon with the (?) on the upper right.

Anything I missed in the settings ?

I am wondering what is going on. I thought it was my SPB that was causing my phone to be awake because it had a 30 minute wakelock in BBStats, so I froze it and went to ADW, but my awake bar in the system battery info shows awake as nearly all the time...nothing else in BBS is of concern because it is all less than 5 mins

Perhaps a reboot will help it clear up whatever is causing the phone to be awake. i even have my task killer killing every 30 minutes...

Are you using original charger. If i use an unbranded charger that i use to use for my HD2 last time my screen will also not respond. Charging interferes with the capacitive screen.
ic, ya, i m using the bb charger... not the ori charger... sad.gif

QUOTE
. As for the amoled screen, i think its the crappiest, because they are prone to burn in like the old plasma TV, and the color is so saturated, it looks fake, not to mention the blue-ish tone that samsung use to compensate for the blue led that burn very fast.

sum1 telling me b4..

1 more can we change the boring SGSII ui with custom rom?

Yes I did lol.

Umm guys another problem here, I've been trying to update to KI4 via Kies and after agreeing and finished backup and when it wanted to start to download, a pop-up window appears and said "Cannot access the model information server. Try later."

Where do you get that quote/article from? I guess from one of the iPong fan ehh.??
Anyway, no it's not true. One of the SGSII main attraction is the screen. If the screen is bad, SGSII wont sell like goreng pisang panas until this day :-P
And if you want to flash custom roms then look for the non-G version as the G version dont have any custom roms at this moment.

http://www.techlore.com/article/10099/Do-LCD-TVs-Burn-In-/
i sense this is from sensation tered? anyways some facts

yes we do get burn outs, but i believe those using their sgs2 since april, until now half a year still none get this symptom. SGS also uses amoled so you go their forum ask got or not la, i have a friend using one since it came out here and he says none, but in the forums you'll find a few unlucky fellas getting it of course. So its a rare case.
LCD does not get burn in/out but they do get video memory problem.

the quote you quoted is very exaggerating and seriously biased, even if the blue amoled burns out the quickest, i'd take at least 2 years to notice the difference.

and the bluish tone is not that bad as it seems, most of us dont even notice it. those that get very blueish tone are actually defect units, normal screens look white, not yellow not blue, just white and its very hard to even say its blue.

colours saturated? yea i agree its saturated, but i like it, i'm using a phone, not a video/camera, why the hell do i want my launchers and icons to look 'real' they're all fakes/virtual doh.gif so i dont really get what those idiots mean by 'fake' . real case: i have a friend who bought sensation same time as me get sgs2, but he always praises my screen, why? as saturated are the colours, it attracts people, they see amoled screen pretty colours with the infinite contrast, and they cant help but wow, something the sensation and iphone can never match. when people see a phone, their first impression is always the screen, and i found many of them wow at size/colours, only mostly iphone users that try to hide it laugh.gif

get both phones and try both phones for yourself, they're all good, and each suits each other likings.

and yes we have tons of custom roms/kernal/themes, and you can bet we're getting that ICS update, just remember to get a non-G version

Its actually not burn. Oled will degrade over time with blue being the fastest. So let say in some place on the screen you use the color blue alot, the oled degrade faster. So only green and red is left which makes it stand out from the rest of the screen. Thus you can see an imprint in the places where the blue wear out.

But even so, with current oled tech, it will take years maybe more than 3 if your screen is on 24 hrs (which is not possible). So if you use maybe 8 hrs screen time per day it is going to last longer.

People that got these "burn" marks early probably got defect screen. Bluish tint is also defect screen, I do not have this.

Also oled screen got memory, example after exiting fruit ninja, the exit screen is white but i can see the imprint of the icons. This is not to be confused with "burn"
