Staying in hostel with 1mbps speed LAN internet.
My laptop are connected to the LAN internet, use connectify in my laptop as a hotspot, so that my Prime can connect to the internet.

Hostel LAN > Laptop (hotspot) > Prime

The trackpad works like any notebook, but it's pretty sensitive.
The best place of using the trackpad is when you want to highlight something, eg. for copy and paste.
A normal finger seems hard to point the cursor directly where you want it to be.
But a trackpad helps alot.

Thanks for the reply. I am keen getting a tablet since I already own a desktop and company laptop(heavy but reliable).

My main primary usage will be video playback especially anime. I looked around and found that Tegra 3 supports high profile h264 playback so this tablet seems to be a good deal.

Any early adopters tried playing anime (720p) or any high profile .mkv with this machine? Subtitle support is also important as well.

Been watching a few NCIS: Los Angeles 720p files and it all goes very smooth. Those files are around 24mbps...haven't tried 1080p, but will not either as there is no point really if you have 720p files too...

I tested it at All IT this morning, it's smooth, but nothing much to test. TP it's so tempting although I dunno what I gonna use it if I buy it.

For me, web browsing , reading e-book and doing words/spreadsheet/slideshow on-the-go is essential.
Addon : I appreciate the ability to save a whole bloody webpage to read it offline using the default browser is something that i can't do perfectly in my laptop (it always out of alignment). As i dont always have a "good" internet connection, so this is essential for me.

For entertainment purpose, video playing and light/medium gaming did not fail me at all. brows.gif
(e.g tower defense / strategic game )
Video i played directly from external hdd is silky smooth too.. scrolling the timebar with no lag..

The best thing is the portability of this device!
It almost replace my laptop already.
1st thing 1st, u have to know that what is android and the limitation of it's app.
since Nothing is perfect, for the current affordable technology, this is 1 splendid piece of technology that brings me to a different level standard of living.

Disclaimer : As i don't own any tablet before, and only playing with my roommate's ipad, so my opinion doesn't really apply to those who have owned any tablet in the past. This prime might only indicate a slight upgrade for u guys.

That's why I'm so tempting with it. I have an iPad and iPhone. iPad for me it's more likely an entertainment device rather than work device, while Asus TP come into the place.

Hi all

Fyi, i think the transformer prime batch they have here is the newer one.

From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...t=serial+number

I noticed that some of the primes sold here are BBOKAS082XXX instead of the post in that thread: BBOKAS042XXX

Which makes me think.. maybe our asia batch is newer.
